New Technology Developed by Scientists Promises to Revolutionize the Energy Sector. It Is Equipment That Generates Electricity from Piped Water.
Currently, when humans need water, they simply turn on the tap, and it flows clean and abundantly. To reach homes, it travels through pumps and extensive piping. Considering this scenario, a company has developed an innovative technology to generate electricity from piped water.
Understand How the Technology That Generates Energy from Water Piped
Clean water and electricity are indispensable resources for civilization. According to the principles of physics, any body in motion can generate work, and the flow of water, moving through pipes at high speeds, is no exception.
This movement can be used to drive a small turbine and generate energy from water. This technology may seem familiar, and it indeed is, as it mirrors the process used in hydroelectric plants to generate electricity. Thus, the technology for generating electricity from piped water resembles a mini hydroelectric plant.

Water from the reservoir passes through pipes connected to turbines, which start to spin due to the force of the water. In hydroelectric plants, each turbine is coupled to a device called a generator, which transforms the movement of the turbine blades into energy.
In the city of Portland, in the USA, the technology for generating energy from water is already in use. This method was patented by the company Lucid Energy, which specializes in developing systems to generate electric energy through innovative solutions.
The technology capable of generating electricity using piped water has enough power to supply at least 150 households. It is worth noting that the company uses the technology of water pipes not only to generate electric energy but also for other projects. One example is the use of pipes to power streetlights and other lighting points in cities, allowing for savings in operational costs.
Benefits Generated by the New Technology
Generating energy from pipeline water offers several benefits. Firstly, as already mentioned, it is a sustainable and constant source. Furthermore, this method leverages existing infrastructures, such as supply networks, promoting energy efficiency without causing environmental impacts.
In this way, companies and cities can reduce their energy expenses, especially those with high water consumption. Lucid Energy’s pipes also enable monitoring of leaks and water quality, optimizing water management.
The environmental advantage is also notable, as unlike hydroelectric plants, this approach to generating energy from water does not harm aquatic ecosystems. Various industrial sectors benefit, including processing, thermal plants, data centers, and water distribution, potentially selling excess energy. Finally, in addition to generating electricity from piped water, the pipes integrate sensors to monitor water quality and optimize infrastructure.
Brazilian Researchers Develop Similar Technology
There is another similar case in Brazil, known as UGES Technology, which works as follows: Piped water from the street flows towards the household water tank, which acts as a reservoir, and to harness this energy, the water first goes through a pressurization process, and its pressure will be significantly increased.
When the water reaches a satisfactory pressure level, a compact turbine will be attached to the piping, near the location of the float in the water tank. This turbine is connected to electrical wires and a transformer, enabling the conversion of mechanical energy into electrical energy.
According to the developers, it is possible to generate up to 34 W of power per liter of water with this technology, and its application is aimed at supplying small loads.

Qurm fara a i stalação?
Quem pagará os equipamentos??
Como controlar a frequência elétrica?
Como fica a manutenção??
Fala em 150 casas mas nao fala em kwh por casa ??
Poxa nao publiquem essas bobagens.
Quanta ****. A pessoa tem de ser muito leiga pra acreditar nesta besteira. Não vale a publicação
