Prometeon's new distribution center, in the state of São Paulo, has the capacity to stock 8 tires for the agro segment
On Thursday morning (28/10), Prometeon, formerly Pirelli, inaugurated a 4.000m² logistics distribution center at the Santo André factory, in the state of São Paulo. The space has the capacity to stock more than 8.000 tires. The company invested BRL 8 million. The mayor of Santo André, Paulo Serra (PSDB), the deputy, Luiz Zacarias, and the Secretary for Development and Employment Generation, Evandro Banzatto, participated in the inauguration. Investments in the new distribution center
Eduardo Fonseca, CEO of Prometeon for the Americas, highlighted the importance of the new distribution center. “We have been working for a long time on ways to improve the operation of our structure in Brazil, seeking to serve our customers more quickly, with less bureaucracy and time lost in processes. The new location, more modern and efficient than the one used previously, will help us a lot in this regard, especially by improving the synergy with the other activities carried out within the Santo André plant”, he declared.
Paulo Serra, the mayor of Santo André, in the state of São Paulo, praised the job creation with Prometeon's new investment. “An investment in the Santo André plant and the generation of more than 150 direct and indirect jobs for our people. State-of-the-art technology and innovation that guarantee our city socio-economic protagonism to attract more investments”, he said.

More details of Prometeon's new venture in São Paulo
The new logistics distribution center in Santo André, by Prometeon, will have LED lighting, four dock platforms, a logistics security system with fire hydrants, fire extinguishers, safety signs and escape routes, meeting all the appropriate standards, seeking to act in a more sustainable and efficient. When operating the warehouse, employees will have electric forklifts available to use, avoiding the release of harmful gases into the atmosphere, and autonomous vehicles, also electric, to transport products.
“The construction of this new logistics distribution center in Santo André comes at a good time for Prometeon. We have been working for a long time on ways to improve the operation of our structure in Brazil, seeking to serve our customers more quickly, with less bureaucracy and time lost in processes. The new location, more modern and efficient than the one used previously, will help us a lot in this regard”, said Fonseca. According to the CEO, the new logistics center will provide a more efficient storage and distribution operation at a reduced cost for the manufacturer.

Prometeon (formerly Pirelli Industrial), one of the main manufacturers of tires for trucks, buses, agro and OTR in Brazil, announced last Monday (23/08), that it will invest R$ 5,2 million in the creation of a new indoor laboratory at its factory in Santo André, in the state of São Paulo, with an expected area of 700 square meters. With the investment, more jobs will be generated in the city.
Officially called Test Center Latam, the future installation at the factory in the state of São Paulo, will be responsible for testing all the tires manufactured by the company in the country and will be submitted to Inmetro accreditation to guarantee that the evaluated products can receive the certifications stipulated by the organ.
"The new Test Center Latam, a structure that we are developing at the Santo André plant, will be very important for us to be able to act in an even more agile and integrated way with all our areas", explains Luiz Mari, Prometeon's director of research and development for Americas. “By making the process more efficient, we will gain time and be able to develop better products faster. Therefore, it is a big step towards the evolution of the company and our range of products, always seeking the best for our customers.”
