Current Affairs
Integrated with the Ministry of Infrastructure, the sector seeks to consolidate its identity in choosing between the private port model or the publicly controlled port. The issue requires an urgent review of port legislation, with an efficient regulatory framework.
Recent decisions to implement technical management in ports by Port Authorities that encourage new bids, expanding private sector participation, point towards a path that demands extensive reflection and in-depth studies.
The scenario also requires greater investment for efficient access to ports across all modalities, eliminating the known barriers that hinder Brazilian foreign trade.
Within these parameters, panels featuring federal authorities, leaders from public and private entities from all sectors related to ports, logistics, and the economy will provide participants with a better understanding of what to expect for the present and future of the system.
