The Renowned Company for Its Smartphones and Electronics, Xiaomi, Is About to Start Production of Its First Electric Car, the Xiaomi SU7, a Sports Sedan That Promises to Innovate the Automotive Market. Stay Tuned for More Details About This Awaited Launch, Which Will Begin Production in December.

It Was Just Recently That the Chinese Brand Xiaomi Introduced to the World the First Version of Its Electric Vehicle, Which Was Compared to a Ferrari. Now, a User from the Chinese Social Network Weibo Shared Photos and Specifications of the Model Obtained from the Country’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

According to the Information Obtained from the Chinese Ministry, the Electric Vehicle from Xiaomi Will Be Called SU7 and Will Be a Spacious Sedan, Measuring 4,997 Millimeters in Length x 1,963 mm in Width x 1,455 mm in Height x 3,000 mm in Wheelbase, Weighing Between 1,980 and 2,205 kg. Additionally, the First Official Images of the Car Have Leaked, Confirming That the Design Shown in the Prototype Has Not Undergone Any Changes. The SU7 Will Have Three Variants: Base, Pro, and Max, Each with Different Ranges and Powers.

The Simplest Model Will Feature a 220 kW (300 hp) Motor, Rear-Wheel Drive, and BYD LFP Batteries. The Exact Range per Charge Has Yet to Be Disclosed and It Will Not Feature LiDAR Sensors on the Equipment List. The Pro and Max Versions Will Have All-Wheel Drive, Two Electric Motors, and a Combined Power of 495 kW (675 hp), with a Top Speed of 265 km/h. The Batteries Will Be NMC Type, Manufactured by CATL, Also with the Range per Charge Kept Secret. These Versions Will Include LiDAR Sensors and Autonomous Driving Features. The Car’s Chassis Will Be Made of Tubular Steel, with 18-Inch Wheels Shod with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 Tires and a Disc Brake System Composed of Six Pistons at the Front and Two at the Rear. The Interior Features Sports Seats Upholstered in Alcantara, a Three-Spoke Steering Wheel, an LCD Instrument Cluster, a Central Console with a Gear Selector and Other Controls, Including Air Conditioning Controls, Located on the Roof.

The Car Will Be Manufactured by BAIC (Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co. Ltd) and Will Highlight the HyperOS Software, Developed by Xiaomi Itself, as the Vehicle’s Operating System. Production Will Begin in December 2023, with the First Deliveries Expected in 2024. The Estimated Price Is 300,000 Yuan, Equivalent to US$ 41,260 or R$ 200.2 Thousand, Excluding Taxes or Import Fees.
