Galaxy S26 Ultra Can Reach 65W Power and Promises to Drastically Reduce Charging Time

The new Samsung smartphone, expected in February 2026, is set to revolutionize the charging experience with a significant advancement: power of up to 65W, according to information released by the brand itself. The novelty marks a turn for the company, which has been criticized for maintaining lower standards than its Chinese rivals regarding battery life.

In addition to the new charging capabilities, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may feature a larger battery, performance improvements, and advanced use of artificial intelligence, establishing itself as the most ambitious model from the company in years. The data has been reported by outlets such as XDA Developers, Gizmochina, and SamMobile based on sources linked to Samsung.

Ultra-Fast Charging Is a Bet to Regain Leadership

The new Samsung smartphone is expected to address one of the biggest criticisms of the Galaxy S25 Ultra: the charging limitation of 45W. With the promise of 65W, the Galaxy S26 Ultra aligns with names like Xiaomi and OnePlus, who already offer charges exceeding 100W.

This advancement signifies more than just speed. The more powerful charging will allow the S26 Ultra to regain energy in minutes, making it more competitive in an increasingly demanding market, especially among users who use the smartphone for heavy tasks such as 8K recording, video editing, and embedded AI use.

Larger Battery and More Efficient Materials Are in the Plans

Although not yet official, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may come equipped with a battery of up to 5,500mAh, according to speculation from the specialized press. The brand is also studying the use of new materials in the battery cell, enhancing energy efficiency and ensuring thermal safety even during rapid charging.

Another highlight is the adoption of the new Qi2 wireless charging standard, which offers faster and smarter energy transfer with optimized magnetic support. The sum of these features indicates that Samsung intends to make a significant leap in autonomy and practicality.

Aesthetics, Power, and Artificial Intelligence in the Same Package

In terms of appearance, the new Samsung smartphone maintains the elegance of the Ultra line but now features a titanium alloy body, increasing durability without compromising weight. The 6.9-inch AMOLED display with 120 Hz remains, ensuring smoothness and high brightness for gaming, videos, and multitasking.

The performance will also receive boosts. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 processor is expected to power the device with more graphics efficiency and native AI support, while the RAM is expected to increase to up to 16 GB, allowing for running multiple applications simultaneously without hiccups.

A New Level for the Galaxy Line

With these improvements, the Galaxy S26 Ultra marks a repositioning of Samsung at the top of the global market. The new Samsung smartphone is not only faster to charge: it is a coordinated effort to maintain relevance in a segment dominated by constant innovation.

By combining fast charging, cutting-edge materials, refined design, and powerful hardware, the South Korean demonstrates that it is still willing to lead the evolution of premium smartphones.

Do you think the new Samsung smartphone finally surpasses Chinese brands in charging speed? Or is there still a lack of boldness? Share your opinion!
