Company creates revolutionary airplane concept that should reduce fuel consumption by up to 70%

Aviation is today a gigantic source of technological innovation. The segment has cutting-edge technology in every square centimeter. Technology evolves, however, the design of the planes are practically the same. However, a new plane project aims to reduce carbon emissions and reduce fuel consumption.

A new jet concept was recently unveiled by SE Aeronautics. The concept plane has three wings and a fin, in addition to a rear engine. The idea is that the wings provide even more lift in the air.

The prototype is called SE200. The new plane design would have the capacity to carry a total of 264 passengers. In addition, it can save up to 70% fuel compared to competitors of the same size.

Less carbon emissions

All industries in the world already know that they will have to focus on clean energy alternatives. Countries already have carbon emission reduction targets. The SE200 concept highlights that it will have a carbon footprint up to 80% lower than competitors in the same segment.

It is also possible to observe that the wings are much thinner than those of conventional aircraft. Since they don't store fuel, the concept has super thin and lighter wings. Fuel is stored on top of the fuselage.

With all the innovations that this concept has, the company points out that the product can become one of the most efficient aircraft that has ever been produced. In addition, the plane would have a useful life of up to 50 years. “TWe will also be able to build these aircraft in less than half the time it normally takes to build an aircraft of the same size.”, highlights the SE Aeronautics.

The company also makes it clear that the twin rear engines will have 64.000 pounds of thrust: “the jewel in the crown is [SE Aeronautic's] ability to reduce the fuel consumption rate by 70 percent'', it says. They still make it clear that they will revolutionize the market.
