520 Slots Will Be Offered for Free Courses Starting in November 2018 with SENAI Qualification
GNA – Natural Gas Açu – will launch its 1st Professional Qualification Program in São João da Barra. In total, 520 slots will be offered free of charge for various vocational courses, which will be taught by Senai, in the segments of Civil Construction, Electricity, Mechanics, Logistics, and Metallurgy. Among them: Rebar Worker, Construction Electrician, Scaffolding Assembler, Mason, and Welder. The program is supported by the São João da Barra City Hall.
The program aims to address the demand for labor for the construction of GNA’s two thermoelectric plants at the Porto do Açu, in addition to contributing to the professional development of workers in the region, with a special focus on the municipality of São João da Barra and its districts. “With participation in the courses, we intend to help generate opportunities for the local community, which will be trained to work not only on GNA’s projects but also for current and new ventures established at Porto do Açu,” says Bernardo Perseke, President of GNA.
