The New Grendene Shoe Factory Features A Large Investment And Will Benefit The Population With New Job Opportunities.

Grendene, recognized for its shoe production, inaugurated its second factory in Crato, Ceará, at a ceremony attended by Governor Elmano de Freitas (PT). This new venture, which received an investment of R$ 30 million, aims to create around one thousand direct job vacancies in the Cariri region. The factory’s expansion represents an important step towards strengthening the local industry and contributing to the state’s economy, which already stands out in creating job opportunities in the Northeast.

An Important Step By Grendene

Governor Elmano de Freitas highlighted the importance of Grendene’s investment for the local economy.

He stated that the establishment of the new factory is a significant step for the development of the municipality of Crato and the surrounding region.

“We are talking about millions of reais to establish a factory that is generating job opportunities. These opportunities transform the lives of people, which is fundamental for a fairer and more equal society,” declared the governor.

Generation Of New Job Vacancies At Grendene

Currently, Grendene has approximately three thousand employees in the Cariri region.

With the inauguration of the new shoe factory, the company plans to hire one thousand new collaborators.

The production will include not only shoes but also insoles, midsoles, and EVA outsoles.

Grendene is known for producing footwear for various popular brands such as Melissa, Grendha, Zaxy, Rider, Cartago, Ipanema, Pega Forte, and Grendene Kids.

The new Grendene factory in Crato aims not only at generating job vacancies but also commits to sustainable practices and technological innovations.

The company is investing in production processes that minimize environmental impact, utilizing recyclable materials and reducing water consumption.

This approach not only strengthens Grendene’s social responsibility but also positions the factory as an example of modernity in the shoe industry.

In this way, Grendene stands out as one of the leaders in the sector, focusing on a more sustainable future for the region and for Brazil.

The Future Of The Industry In Ceará

Grendene has shown continuous growth in the region. In 2021, the company had 1,900 employees, and today there are already about 2,900.

“One thousand new job vacancies in three years impact and contribute to the development of the region and the local community, making Ceará one of the main production hubs for footwear,” stated Pedro Grendene, vice president of the factory.

The expectation is that this new Grendene factory will not only increase shoe production but also bring more investments and opportunities for the local population.
