Omni Air Taxi and Airbus Have Established a Strategic Partnership to Introduce the H160 Helicopter in Brazil, a Model Recognized for Its Advanced Technology and Operational Efficiency.

To Modernize Offshore Operations in Brazil, Omni Air Taxi Signed an HCare Initial Service Contract with Airbus in Early 2024. This agreement will ensure support for the entry into operation of three H160 helicopters, scheduled for May 2025. Furthermore, these models will be used in offshore transportation operations for Petrobras, reinforcing the modernization of the company’s air fleet. According to Airbus Helicopters, this contract marks the expansion of the H160 in Latin America.

The Impact of the H160 Arrival on Offshore Aviation

The Introduction of the H160 in Brazil Represents an Evolution for the Offshore Aviation Sector. Designed for Demanding Missions, This Aircraft Stands Out for Its High Performance, Operational Safety, and Comfort. The Partnership Between Omni and Airbus Will Modernize Offshore Transportation in the Oil and Gas Industry. Additionally, This Initiative Reinforces the Commitment to Innovative and Efficient Solutions, Ensuring a Safer and More Sustainable Sector. According to Reports from the Brazilian Association of Air Transport Companies (ABETAR), the Demand for Modern and Safe Aircraft Has Grown in Recent Years.

Benefits of the New H160 Aircraft

The H160 Features Several Innovations That Enhance the Efficiency and Safety of Offshore Operations. Its Advanced Navigation System Allows for Landings in Challenging Conditions, Increasing Operational Safety. Moreover, Its Aerodynamic Design and Efficient Engines Reduce Fuel Consumption and Minimize Carbon Emissions. With an Interior Designed for Comfort, the Aircraft Reduces Noise and Vibration, Making Flights More Pleasant for Passengers. According to Data from the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), Released in 2023, Regulations in the Offshore Sector Have Become More Stringent, Driving the Adoption of Technologies Such as Those Present in the H160.

Omni’s Commitment to Efficiency and Safety

According to Paulo Couto, CEO of Omni Air Taxi, Reliability and Operational Performance Are Priorities for Offshore Operations. The HCare Initial Support Package Was Developed to Ensure High Standards of Safety and Efficiency. This Support Will Allow Petrobras to Maintain a High-Level Offshore Operation, Minimizing Risks and Ensuring Operational Continuity. The Implementation of These Measures Reinforces the Commitment to an Increasingly Safe Aviation Environment.

Strategic Partnership Between Airbus and Petrobras

For Daniel Gago, Executive Manager of Upstream Logistics at Petrobras, the Introduction of the H160 Represents a Significant Advancement as It Strengthens Both Innovation and Efficiency in Offshore Operations. Furthermore, the Partnership with Airbus and Omni Plays an Essential Role in Driving Technological Progress in the Sector. According to Internal Reports from Petrobras, Since 2020 the Company Has Been Continuously Investing in the Modernization and Safety of Its Air Fleet. This Investment Not Only Ensures Greater Operational Efficiency but Also Reinforces Safety in Its Operations.
