First Havan Store in Goiânia Will Have 10 Thousand M² of Constructed Area on a 30 Thousand M² Lot on Goiás with Perimetral Norte, in Front of the Shopping Passeio das Águas, Investment of R$ 100 Million, Opening on January 31, 2026 and Firm Promise Not to Affect Anápolis.
The new Havan megastore in Goiânia is already scheduled to open its doors on January 31, 2026. With an investment of R$ 100 million, the unit of 10 thousand square meters marks the official debut of the chain in the capital of Goiás and reinforces the retailer’s expansion strategy in the state.
Located on a 30 thousand square meter lot at the intersection of Avenida Goiás with Perimetral Norte, in front of the Shopping Passeio das Águas, the store promises to attract consumers from all over the metropolitan area. The company states that operations in Goiânia should not harm the performance of the Anápolis branch, about 50 kilometers away, betting on the potential demand from both cities.
Megastore of 10 Thousand M² in a High Traffic Location
The new Havan unit is in the advanced construction phase in one of the busiest spots in the capital of Goiás. The megastore will be located at the intersection of Avenida Goiás with Perimetral Norte, in front of the Shopping Passeio das Águas, an area already established as a hub of commerce and services.

Havan will leave the shopping mall in Blumenau to inaugurate something that the chain has never done before: a megastore in half-timbered style in the Historic Center of the city, which is expected to be completed in May and change the landscape of local retail.
With 10 thousand square meters of constructed area, the building is designed to concentrate a wide variety of products under one roof, in a spacious and well-lit layout, following the standard of other stores in the chain.
The expectation is that easy access from the main roads in the city will help attract both residents of Goiânia and consumers from neighboring municipalities.
30 Thousand M² Lot, 350 Thousand Items and Food Court
The construction occupies a 30 thousand square meter lot, which allows not only for the installation of the main structure but also for parking lots and support areas for operations. According to the chain itself, more than 350 thousand items will be available to consumers, bringing together different departments in a single location.
Like other Havan stores scattered throughout Brazil, the Goiânia unit will have a food court to serve those who spend long periods inside the establishment.
The project also includes the traditional replica of the Statue of Liberty, a symbol of the brand, which typically serves as a visual reference point and an attractive spot for photos and spontaneous social media sharing.
Havan’s Expansion in Goiânia Without Harming Anápolis
Although Goiânia is receiving its first unit only now, founder Luciano Hang claims that the capital has the capacity to accommodate several stores from the chain.
According to the entrepreneur, the main difficulty over the past few years has been finding lots that meet the size and location requirements set by Havan.
The stated expectation is that the new megastore in Goiânia will not harm the performance of the Anápolis unit.
The company’s assessment is that the market in the region can support at least three or four branches without saturation, strategically distributed between the capital and nearby cities.
With this, the chain seeks to expand its presence in Goiás while maintaining balance among the served markets.
Year of 40 Years of Havan and 25 Thousand Employees
The inauguration of the store in Goiânia occurs in the year that Havan completes four decades of operation in the Brazilian retail market.
Today, the company claims to have around 25 thousand direct employees spread across various cities in the country, in an expansion model based on large retail structures.
By entering the capital of Goiás with an investment of R$ 100 million, the chain reinforces its positioning as one of the main large-scale retailers in Brazil.
The new unit increases the brand’s reach in the Central-West Region and is expected to boost suppliers, service providers, and local commerce, as well as create opportunities for new hiring in the area.
In your opinion, does Havan’s arrival in Goiânia strengthen retail across the entire metropolitan area without harming commerce in Anápolis, or could it create an imbalance between the two cities?
