Havan Advances in the Historical Center of Blumenau with 14,000 Square Meter Megastore, Creates 200 Direct Jobs, Receives Approval from Heritage Agencies, and Confirms Opening at the End of April 2026.

The new Havan megastore in the Historical Center of Blumenau is nearing the final stages of construction, with 14,000 square meters of structure, a promise of 200 direct jobs, and an opening scheduled for the end of April 2026, in the central area of the city.

Built in a strategic and high-traffic location, at the corner of Alameda Duque de Caxias and Rua Oscar Jeniche, the megastore underwent technical analysis and received approval from heritage agencies, as it is within the perimeter of Blumenau’s Historical Center.

Where the Megastore is Being Built and Why the Location is Sensitive

The megastore occupies a property located within the perimeter of Blumenau’s Historical Center, which required a series of analyses and authorizations before construction began.

This is because the surroundings have recognized historical characteristics, and therefore, any major intervention must comply with preservation and urban compatibility rules.

The choice of location, at the corner of Alameda Duque de Caxias and Rua Oscar Jeniche, reinforces the strategy of positioning in the heart of the city, in a stretch with a constant flow of people and vehicles, which tends to increase the commercial impact of the operation.

Approval from Heritage Agencies Released the Megastore Project

The installation of the megastore was approved by the Municipal Council of Cultural Heritage (COPE), after a technical assessment and favorable opinions from the Santa Catarina Culture Foundation (FCC) and the National Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage (Iphan).

This set of approvals is crucial for projects in historical areas because it signals that the project has been deemed compatible with the preservation requirements of the surroundings and that the proposed architectural adjustments meet the evaluated technical criteria.

Half-Timbered Architecture to Respect the Historical Surroundings

To adapt to the Historical Center of Blumenau, the project includes specific architectural changes, and the megastore will feature half-timbered architecture.

The choice of half-timbering is central to the proposal because it connects the building to the characteristic visual associated with the local historical identity.

In practice, this means that the megastore was not designed as a neutral structure, but as a unit intended to engage with the architectural references of the surroundings, precisely because it is in an area where urban aesthetics are also treated as heritage.

14,000 Square Meter Structure and Creation of 200 Direct Jobs

The megastore will have a structure of 14,000 square meters, a size that places it among the large-scale units of the chain.

The expectation is to create 200 direct jobs, increasing the project’s impact on the local job market.

In addition to the impact on job openings, a unit of this size typically expands service capacity and the variety of products and services available to consumers, which reinforces competition for commercial flow in the central region.

Fifth Store of the Chain in Blumenau and Strengthening of Havan’s Presence

With the anticipated opening, the megastore will be the fifth Havan store in Blumenau.

Currently, the municipality already has four stores of the chain in operation, and the new unit expands the presence in the territory, now focusing on the central and historical area.

This movement also repositions the chain within the urban dynamics of the city, by bringing a large-scale structure to a high-visibility and high-traffic location.

Opening Date and Progress of the Works

According to the company, the opening of the new Havan megastore is scheduled for the end of April 2026.

The schedule, according to the chain itself, is on track, with expectations for the unit to be completed and ready to welcome the public by the end of April 2026.

As a result, the megastore enters a phase of growing public expectation, especially as this is a project in a sensitive area, with heritage approvals and a promise of direct impact on commerce and employment.

What the Megastore May Change in the Commerce of Downtown Blumenau

The arrival of a megastore in the Historical Center of Blumenau tends to alter the logic of local commerce for three direct reasons: strategic location, large-scale structure, and concentration of services and products in a single point.

At the same time, the fact that it was approved by COPE, FCC, and Iphan indicates that the project was designed to exist within the rules of Blumenau’s Historical Center, which reduces the risk of institutional conflict with preservation, although the urban and commercial impact will naturally grow as the opening approaches.

Do you think the Havan megastore in the Historical Center of Blumenau will strengthen downtown commerce or will it change the dynamics of the region too much?

Só precisa parar de recorrer dos direitos dos colaboradores e pagar pelos domingos trabalhados. Se a havan é uma família como diz pare de enrolação pague aqueles que tanto fizeram pela sua loja pois sem os colaboradores não teria a havan
