Hyundai, A Giant Company In Car Production, Announced The Launch Of An Electric Bike That Delivers A Range Of 80 Km And A Top Speed Of 25 Km/H.
Hyundai announced this Wednesday (31) the launch of its new electric bike, named eXXite Next. Developed in partnership with the Spanish company Rayvolt, the model has a common bike design; however, it draws attention due to its frame with thicker tubes where the company managed to hide the components, such as the battery.
Electric Bike Features 250 Watts Of Power
Hyundai partnered with the Spanish company to develop an electric bike with a 250 Watts motor. Its battery has the capacity to provide up to 80 km of range on a single charge and assists pedaling at a maximum speed of 25 km/h.
The component is hidden in the seat tube, and it is possible to lift the bike to use it as a stationary exercise model, with an app to track all data. The company’s launch is exclusive to France for now, and costs around R$ 18,8 thousand in direct conversion.

Slowly, car companies are developing electric bikes, such as the South Korean Hyundai, which decided to enter this expansion of its brand by licensing the company name to the Spanish brand Rayvolt to create an exclusive model within the eXXite line.
Despite having a thicker frame, the batteries are not evident to those without trained eyes. The hidden set has the capacity to deliver up to 80 km of range at a speed of 25 km/h, as mentioned earlier. A safety system deactivates acceleration when the user exceeds this number, preventing accidents.
Hyundai’s New Electric Bike Costs Around R$ 18,8 Thousand
The motor of Hyundai’s new vehicle has 250 watts of power and is intended to assist in pedaling, not to turn the bike into a kind of motorcycle, but rather to facilitate the cyclist’s journey.
The battery is hidden in the tube below the seat and uses 36 volts, with a capacity of 14 Ah. For moments when the bike owner is at home or at work and took the electric bike there, it is possible to use an accessory that lifts one of the wheels. The goal is to develop a training station, with the help of an app to track caloric burn and other information.
At this moment, the bike’s electric motor is turned off, and it is possible to keep the system plugged in for battery recharging.
The eXXite Next electric bike from Hyundai is already available in the international market, but for now only in France, where it is possible to either rent the bike or buy one and take it home for €3,490 – approximately R$ 18,8 thousand in direct conversion, excluding taxes or shipping.
New Electric Bike Models Arrive On The Market In 2023
In addition to Hyundai, the Swiss manufacturer Thömus announced the launch of its new electric bike, named Swissrider. Featuring a minimalist design and weighing 11.3 kg, the model is considered the lightest on the market for electric bikes today.
The highlight is its electric motor based on the same technology used in NASA’s Mars Rover, the Maxon Bikedrive Air, which can generate a continuous power of 250 watts and a peak output greater than 300 watts.
The bike has three battery options: 250 Wh, 426 Wh, or 360 Wh, as well as a range extender of 250 Wh that can be equipped as an option. However, the company has not yet disclosed data on the performance of the electric bike.
