Hyundai Unveils An Electric Excavator Equipped With The Largest Battery Ever Used In Such Machines. With A Capacity To Operate For Up To 10 Hours On A Single Charge, The Equipment Represents An Important Step In The Transition To Cleaner, Quieter, And More Efficient Heavy Machinery At Construction Sites

Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe will launch its new compact electric excavator between April 7 and 13 in Munich, Germany. The HX19e is fully battery-powered and promises to deliver a full day of work with zero emissions and low noise.

The Belgium-based company claims that the electric excavator features the most powerful battery in its category. This allows the equipment to operate for up to 10 consecutive hours, providing continuous productivity in noise-restricted and environmentally demanding locations.

The Electric Excavator Comes With Configuration Options

In addition to being electric, the HX19e has a minimal rear projection. This facilitates use in tighter spaces. The model also has two versions: with a cabin or with an optional canopy, allowing adaptation to the desired type of operation.

The Hyundai excavator can be charged using a standard vehicle charger. According to Hyundai, this makes the equipment more practical for the daily routines of operators and companies in the sector.

The model also includes standard 2-way auxiliary hydraulic plumbing. This allows the use of attachments such as hammers and hydraulic shears.

Another highlight is the proportional control at the fingertips, which makes using hydraulic attachments with more precision easier. The Hyundai excavator also offers greater stability, thanks to extendable tracks and an adjustable excavator blade.

Performance Similar To The Diesel Model

The 13 kW electric motor is powered by the battery and drives a open-center hydraulic system. According to the company, the performance is similar to that of the HX19A mini excavator, which is powered by a 12.1 kW (16.2 hp) diesel engine.

The bucket’s breakout force is 16 kN (3,597 lbf), and the bucket arm’s force reaches 9.4 kN (2,113 lbf). The maximum digging depth of the HX19e is 2,340 mm (92 in), while the maximum digging reach is 3,940 mm (155 in).

Hyundai Excavator: Reinforced Safety And Intuitive Operation

The equipment also features important safety resources. Among them are the valve in the dozer blade cylinder, which increases safety during loading and excavation, and the hydraulic accumulator, which allows the boom and arm to be lowered at the end of work and leaves the excavator in a safe position.

Another notable item is the Auto-Safety Lock, a feature that prevents accidental operation of the machine. Additionally, the 5-inch (approx. 13 cm) LCD monitor facilitates control of settings and access to essential functions of the excavator.

The monitor has an IP68 rating for water protection, making it particularly useful. The cabin model comes equipped with a full glass door, which improves the operator’s visibility during work.

Embedded Technology And Operator Comfort

The excavator also comes with the Hi MATE telematics system with a five-year subscription. This system allows for complete monitoring of activities and the machine’s performance.

As an option, the company also offers a remote management system with GPS satellite technology. This system ensures a higher level of support and service for the product.

According to Hyundai, its excavators are developed with a focus on protection and strict safety standards. The company highlights the comfort provided by the low noise level of the electric motor and the spacious interior of the model.

Both the cabin version and the canopy version were designed to offer convenience to the operator.

The launch of the HX19e represents another step by Hyundai in offering electric solutions for the construction sector. The equipment enters the market as a quiet, powerful, and safe alternative for those seeking productivity with environmental responsibility.
