IFMS Has Thousands of Openings for Free Online and Distance Learning Courses for People with Completed Elementary and High School Education.
The Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) announced on Wednesday (14) the opening of registrations for a selection process that aims to offer thousands of openings in free online courses for Basic Spanish, Basic English, Computer Operator, and Salesperson. Registrations will be open until January 8 of next year, with 1,500 openings for middle and elementary levels available.
Requirements for Free and Distance Learning Courses
With an average duration of four months and distance learning, the classes for the available courses are focused on Initial and Continuing Education, that is, training and qualification for the job market. The courses will have in-person hubs in cities where the IFMS has campuses, such as in the municipalities of Campo Grande, Coxim, Corumbá, Dourados, Ponta Porã, Nova Andradina, and Três Lagoas.
In municipalities where there are no IFMS units, course coordination will be handled by the nearest campus, such as in Amambai, Camapuã, Costa Rica, Antônio João, Nova Alvorada do Sul, Ribas do Rio Pardo, and Sonora.

Currently enrolled in or having completed high school, graduates of the Basic English Course I, or those who prove prior knowledge of the English language, among others.
Learn How to Participate in the Free Online Courses at IFMS
The selection process includes free registrations that can be made until January 8 of next year, through the candidate page on the IFMS website. To register, candidates must provide their CPF number and select one of the course options offered in the announcement.
If the candidate does not have internet access, they can register in person at the addresses provided in the announcement. Regarding the selection process for those interested in the course openings, the announcement states that registered candidates will be selected and ranked through an electronic lottery scheduled for January 12, 2023.
Thus, candidates will not need to take any eliminatory exams. Each candidate will have a participation number in the lottery. The ranking will be carried out according to the order of the drawn numbers.
Results and Dates for IFMS Free Distance Learning Courses
The preliminary result of the lottery will be published on January 16, with the first call and final classification of the process expected to be announced on January 19.
For those candidates who are approved and called for language courses, it will be necessary to take a placement test to measure the student’s knowledge level of the chosen language, scheduled to take place between January 20 and 24 of next year. The results will be announced on January 27. Click here to register.
The enrollment period for the first call will be between January 30 and February 3, and if spots are not completely filled, a new call will be announced on the 9th of the same month. According to IFMS, classes are expected to start between February 27 and March 4.
