Embraer unit in Gavião Peixoto (SP) marks a historic milestone in the production of military aircraft in Brazil
Embraer carried out, 1 year ago, the inauguration of the Gripen E aircraft production line at its unit in Gavião Peixoto (SP), marking a significant advance in the technology transfer program and strengthening the fighter ecosystem in Brazil.
The inauguration of this production line represents not only the production of first supersonic fighter in Latin America, but also a important milestone in the collaboration between Embraer and the Brazilian Air Force. The unit in Gavião Peixoto is the only one outside Sweden to manufacture the Gripen E and will be responsible for production of 15 units for the Brazilian Air Force, aeronautics.
