IFRJ offers 26 free high school technical courses. In all, there are more than 1700 vacancies spread across the Institute's units in Rio de Janeiro, and one of them could be yours!
The IFRJ – Federal Institute of Rio de Janeiro has an open selection process to fill vacancies related to Technical Professional Education of Middle Level, offered in an integrated way to High School. There will be 1.764 places in free technical courses for IFRJ units for the 2022 school year, which will start in March. See how to apply below.

The selection process will be carried out through three different forms of selection, according to the candidate's choice: face-to-face objective test, public lottery or analysis of the elementary school transcript. Vacancies will be distributed with one third of the total number for each form of selection. 34% of the vacancies will be offered for broad competition and 66% for the Vacancy Reservation System (SRV) for Public Schools. In the case of non-completion of this second type, the remaining vacancies will be filled by the candidates following the classification order.

Only students who have successfully attended and completed all grades of Elementary Education in Brazilian public schools at the federal, state or municipal levels, in regular courses or within the modality of Youth and Adult Education (EJA); and, students who have obtained a certificate of completion based on the result of the National Exam for Certification of Youth and Adult Competencies (ENCCEJA), competency certification exams or assessment of youth and adults carried out by state education systems.
The certification issued by the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio de Janeiro - IFRJ will be given in a single certificate, referring to Technical Education of Secondary Level, after completion of the mandatory curricular matrix and supervised curricular internship when mandatory.
