Approximately one thousand people participated in an event to present the new phase of the program, this Wednesday, the 27th, at Colégio Cenecista, downtown.

The event represented the third phase of the graduation program. Of the two thousand grants, 135 of them will be awarded to participants in the last edition of the program, in 2019, who obtained a favorable opinion on their appeals, leaving 1.865 grants to be awarded to candidates at this stage.

In the division of scholarships, 60% of the vacancies will be destined to candidates from secondary education in public schools (560); 10% for municipal civil servants candidates (93), 30% of vacancies destined to the broad competition (from vestibular, 232) and 48 for medicine candidates.

Of these 48 vacancies, the announcement reserves 10 for the Serra dos Órgãos University (Unifeso) and 38 for the University of Vassouras, exclusively for the first half of 2020. It is necessary to be approved not only in the program, but in the selection of universities as well.

“The University Passport is a major milestone in the municipality of Maricá. It is extraordinary, because we know that the city is growing a lot and that the progression is constant”, says the undersecretary and coordinator of the program, Denise Cardim. “The objective of this public policy is to qualify young people, especially those in social vulnerability, so that they are employable within the municipality and have the best job chairs”, she explained.

Adding the two previous phases, with the granting of 2771 scholarships for academic graduation, the University Passport comes close to the five thousand scholarships announced at the official launch of the program.

Requirements

Those who are already studying higher education, those who have passed the National Secondary Education Examination (Enem), or the entrance exam at the associated university can participate in the program.

To participate in the selection process, you must be a native or naturalized Brazilian, reside in Maricá for at least three years and present proof of residence that covers the period, such as electricity, water, telephone or credit card bills. A declaration issued by the Family Health Post, where the candidate is assisted (signed by the person responsible for the unit) is also valid as proof.

You must also have completed high school or equivalent – ​​or present a statement that you are attending the third year of high school in 2019, do not have a family income of more than six minimum wages, pass the university entrance exam or have received a minimum score of 450 points , not having zeroed the wording.

Registration

It is worth mentioning, however, that the selection process of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) will adopt, as a form of aptitude for vacancies, the result obtained through curriculum analysis and interview.

This phase must be prior to the electronic registration made by the Program website. The aptitude statement must be attached in the act of electronic registration, on the program's website.
