The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) announced the opening of two new announcements for a Simplified Selection Process focused on hiring substitute teachers. The required educational background to fill the positions in this selection process is a higher education degree.

According to the announcements, the two available positions are divided into the subjects of Accounting and Financial Administration (Natal-North Zone Campus) and Information Systems (Natal-North Zone Campus). For the first position, a degree in Administration, Accounting, Economics, or Production Engineering is required.
For Information Systems, a degree in the computing area or a higher education degree with postgraduate studies in the computing area is required.

The salary to be received by the candidate approved in the Federal Institute competition corresponds to the initial gross remuneration of R$ 3,412.63, equivalent to the Basic Salary of the 40-hour work regime of Class D I, Level 01 of the Teaching Career for Basic, Technical, and Technological Education, which may be increased by the value of Remuneration by Qualification (RT) and advantages, benefits, and additional pay provided by law.
How to Register for the Federal Institute Selection Process?
To register for the Federal Institute competition, candidates must fill out the registration form available on the IFRN website from July 18 this year, starting at 10 a.m., until July 31, 2024. The participation fee for both positions is R$ 78.00.
Requirements for holding the position include Brazilian nationality, enjoyment of political rights, compliance with military and electoral obligations, level of education and professional qualification required for the exercise of the position, minimum age of 18 years, physical and mental fitness, proven through a clinical and occupational medical evaluation conducted by IFRN’s medical service.
It is worth mentioning that failure to present the required documentation in the announcement will result in the candidate’s non-qualification, nullifying any acts or effects arising from the registration in the Federal Institute selection process.
The simplified selection processes will be valid for two years, counting from the date the final result is published in the Official Federal Gazette, and may be extended for an equal period.
Steps of the Selection Process of the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte
The Federal Institute selection process will consist of a Performance Test and a Title Test. The performance test will be assigned a score of 0 to 100 points, with candidates considered qualified in this test if they obtain a minimum of 60 points.
The performance test will consist of a 45-minute lecture according to a drawn theme and will focus on evaluating the specific knowledge and didactic-pedagogical capability of the candidate. The performance test will be conducted before an Examination Board composed of three professionals from the subject area or Education field.
The title test will be assigned a score of 0 to 100 points, and the candidate must present proof of all titles at the time of the Performance Test, which will be analyzed by the Examination Board, receiving proof of delivery of the documentation.
