Federal Institute of Brasília Offers More than 2,000 Free Spots for Technical Courses and High School, with Inclusive Options Through the Quota System. Amid the growing interest in technical and vocational education, the Federal Institute of Brasília (IFB) launches a special opportunity that promises to attract the attention of young people and adults throughout the Federal District.

There are more than 2,000 spots open for those who wish to enhance their knowledge and enroll in quality, entirely free training, with courses offered across 10 campuses of the institution in the DF.

With registration starting on November 18, 2024 and ending on January 10, 2025, this is a unique chance for those seeking to specialize and expand professional opportunities for the future.

Registrations and Course Modalities

The available spots cover various modalities, catering to different student profiles. The IFB offers options for integrated technical high school, subsequent courses for those who have completed basic education, and Youth and Adult Education (EJA), aimed at individuals over 18 who have not completed formal education.

Registration is free and must be done directly on the official IFB website during the registration period. In addition to being free, the selection process will occur via electronic lottery, offering equal opportunities for all candidates.

According to the IFB, classes are scheduled to start in 2025, and the spots cover courses in areas such as technology, public service, administration, agronomy, gastronomy, and much more.

Available Courses and Campuses

The IFB has campuses located in various regions of the DF: Brasília, Ceilândia, Estrutural, Gama, Planaltina, Recanto das Emas, Riacho Fundo, Samambaia, São Sebastião, and Taguatinga. In each unit, specific courses are offered that meet local demand and align with the profiles of interested students.

  • IFB Campus Brasília: offers courses such as Technician in Computer Science, Systems Development, Events and Marketing, in modalities that include integrated high school, subsequent, and Proeja.
  • IFB Campus Ceilândia: highlights courses in Electronics and Occupational Safety, with modalities integrated into high school and subsequent.
  • IFB Campus Planaltina: focusing on the agricultural and agro-industrial fields, this unit offers integrated and subsequent high school education.
  • IFB Campus Estrutural: courses focused on Automotive Maintenance and the Environment.

These are just a few of the opportunities offered, but in total, there are more than 30 free courses available, with training ranging from technology to agronomy.

Quota System: Inclusion and Diversity

In addition to spots for general competition, the IFB offers a quota system for specific groups, promoting inclusion and diversity in access to education. Among the groups that have quotas, the following stand out:

  • People with disabilities
  • Students from public schools
  • Black, Brown, Indigenous, and Quilombola individuals
  • Members of families of family farmers
  • Employees of the DF Department of Education
  • Candidates with a family income of up to one minimum salary

To ensure access through quotas, candidates must prove their condition by presenting documents such as medical reports, socioeconomic assessment forms, and self-declarations for racial recognition.
