The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Santa Catarina (IFSC) announced a crucial change in its public competitions. The new extension of registrations, announced this Thursday (31), allows interested candidates to register until August 13. The Federal Institute of Santa Catarina recently rectified two competitions aimed at hiring new professionals for administrative technician in education and teacher of basic, technical, and technological education. The registrations, which now extend until mid-August, must be made exclusively through the Fundatec website, with fees ranging from R$ 150.00 to R$ 250.00.

The selected candidates will be allocated to various campuses of IFSC, including Caçador, Canoinhas, Florianópolis, Jaraguá do Sul – Center, São Carlos, Tubarão, Urupema, Chapecó, Itajaí, Araranguá, São Lourenço do Oeste, and Xanxerê.

The Positions In The Competition

The competitions offer 28 positions distributed between announcements nº 05/2024 and nº 06/2024. Announcement nº 05/2024 offers positions for administrative assistant (13), laboratory technician in the areas of automation, electrotechnics, and clothing, information technology technician, accounting technician, and social worker.

Announcement nº 06/2024 has opportunities for teacher in the areas of visual arts, biology, product design, rural engineering, philosophy, geography, Portuguese (two positions), and sociology. There are also reservations for candidates who meet the criteria specified in the announcements.

Who Can Apply?

To apply, it is necessary to have a higher education degree, complete high school diploma, or technical course, among other requirements.

Salaries at the Federal Institute vary from R$ 2,667.19 to R$ 10,481.64, and include benefits such as Food Assistance of R$ 1,000.00, Preschool Assistance of R$ 484.90, Transport Assistance, and Health Assistance, according to current legislation. The work schedule can be 40 hours per week or exclusive dedication, depending on the position.

The selection will be conducted in two stages: the theoretical-objective exam, scheduled for September 8, and the didactic performance exam, credentials evaluation, and practical exam for technical positions. The competitions are valid for two years from the approval of the final results, and may be extended for an additional two years, as per the current regulation.
