In Practical Comparison By Specialist Jersu, The iPhone 17 Pro Max Retains Brightness Even Under Heating And Has An Advantage In The Front Camera, While The Galaxy S25 Ultra Remains Unbeatable In Zoom And Reading In Direct Sunlight

The iPhone 17 Pro Max and the Galaxy S25 Ultra are engaged in a direct showdown on the most important points for real-world use: sustained brightness, front camera, zoom, thermal stability, and screen experience under strong sunlight. In practical tests conducted by specialist Jersu, the iPhone maintained maximum brightness even when the temperature rose during 4K/120 fps recordings, while the Galaxy reduced brightness due to heating.

According to Jersu, the iPhone 17 Pro Max reached a new level in the front camera, with superior images and stabilization in different scenarios, including low light. The Galaxy S25 Ultra, on the other hand, remained ahead in zoom and reading in direct sunlight, thanks to its combination of dedicated optics and proprietary anti-reflective glass.

Sustained Brightness And Heating: iPhone 17 Pro Max Keeps The Screen Bright

In Jersu’s tests, both devices heated up while recording video at 4K/120 fps, but the iPhone 17 Pro Max maintained maximum screen brightness, without the automatic “downgrade” that occurred in the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

This brightness resilience helps during prolonged recordings, navigation, and outdoor visibility, when the device tends to limit light to control temperature.

Although surface measurements indicated similar heating between the two, the screen behavior was different.

For those who film a lot and need a consistent display, Jersu points out a practical advantage for the iPhone, highlighting that the S25 Ultra may reduce brightness at thermal peaks — especially during intensive recordings in hot environments.

Screen In Sunlight And Anti-Reflective: The Galaxy’s Advantage Remains Strong

If the iPhone 17 Pro Max shines (literally) in maintaining brightness, the Galaxy S25 Ultra shines in sunlight.

The anti-reflective technology in partnership with Gorilla Glass, highlighted by Jersu, greatly improves readability in outdoor environments, reducing reflections that hinder reading and colors.

In practical street use, Jersu reports that, “in scorching sunlight,” the S25 Ultra provides more comfortable and faithful visibility.

In mixed use (indoor/outdoor), this gives a clear advantage to the Galaxy for those who consume content, work on the device, or photograph under bright light.

Front Camera: iPhone 17 Pro Max Reaches New Heights In Selfies And Video

Specialist Jersu states without beating around the bush: the front camera of the iPhone 17 Pro Max is better than that of the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

With a new sensor and ultra-wide lens, the iPhone’s front camera broadens the field of view and improves stabilization, delivering more consistent selfies and videos, including at night.

For content creators, meetings, and stories, the feeling is of a generational leap with the iPhone 17 Pro Max, according to Jersu.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy remains competitive, but in practical evaluation, Apple takes the crown in the front camera — with tones, sharpness, and stability that favor faces and movement.

Zoom And Rear Cameras: Galaxy S25 Ultra Maintains The Crown Of Reach

On the flip side, the Galaxy S25 Ultra remains the leader in zoom.

Its two dedicated telephoto lenses (3x and 5x) have an advantage at greater distances, reaching up to 100x (with the necessary compromises in quality).

In many situations, Jersu reports that the optimization of the main 200 MP sensor on the Galaxy also yields “more charming” images in rear photography.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max has evolved in its 4x optical module and can “hold its own” in various scenes, especially in video with stabilization.

For intermediate zoom and overall consistency, Jersu recognizes a highly competitive iPhone. For extreme zoom, the S25 Ultra still reigns.

Thermal Performance And Chip: High Power In Both, With Distinct Profiles

Both reach the top in processing (A19 Pro in the iPhone and Snapdragon 8 Elite in the Galaxy), and both heat up under heavy load.

Jersu highlights that the iPhone now has a dedicated cooling system, bringing its behavior closer to that of the Galaxy — which has historically invested in larger thermal solutions.

In real use, the iPhone 17 Pro Max impresses with its maintenance of brightness even when heating; the Galaxy, on the other hand, performs better in outdoor environments and offers more “pro” camera toolsets, with refined options in the native app that please advanced users.

Charging, Materials, And User Experience

In Jersu’s reports, the iPhone 17 Pro Max charges faster from 0 to 80% than the previous generation and has improved in wireless charging; the Galaxy S25 Ultra maintains good autonomy and an ecosystem of resources (such as DeX and Galaxy AI) that enhances productivity.

Regarding materials, Jersu notes distinct approaches: titanium and anti-reflective glass on the Galaxy, new design and reinforced finish on the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Ergonomics are similar in daily use, and both ensure IP68 resistance.

Price And Cost-Effectiveness: Relevant Differences In Brazil

In the values mentioned by Jersu, the iPhone 17 Pro Max (256 GB) was seen for around R$ 12,000, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra (256 GB) can appear in promotions around R$ 6,000.

The disparity weighs in the purchasing decision and can redefine what is “better” for each profile: those seeking unbeatable front performance, sustained brightness, and simple flow may prefer the iPhone; those needing long zoom, perfect reading in the sun, and advanced tools tend towards the Galaxy.

Specialist Jersu’s Verdict: Which One To Choose?

For front camera and sustained brightness, the iPhone 17 Pro Max has the advantage. For long zoom and screen in sunlight, the Galaxy S25 Ultra remains the leader.

In the primary rear camera, the outcome is very close: there are scenes where Samsung performs better in processing, and others where Apple delivers high-level video and stabilization.

In the end, the best device depends on your use: selfies/video and display consistency favor the iPhone 17 Pro Max; photography reach, “pro” tools, and outdoor reading favor the S25 Ultra.

Both are flagship devices and deliver excellence, emphasizes Jersu.

Jersu’s comparison shows a technical tie with pinpoint victories: the iPhone 17 Pro Max wins in the front camera and sustained brightness; the Galaxy S25 Ultra dominates in zoom and anti-reflective screen in sunlight.

Between price, usage profile and priorities (selfie, video, zoom, outdoor reading), the ideal decision is the one that best fits your daily life.

And you: in your real use, does the iPhone 17 Pro Max make a more significant difference (selfies/video and strong brightness) or does the Galaxy S25 Ultra deliver what you need (long zoom and impeccable screen in sunlight)? Let us know in the comments — which test weighed more in your decision?
