The multinational informs that this selection process forms the second phase of the company's hiring program for this year. In the first half of the year, JBS already created more than 7 thousand new job openings.
Fernando Meller, executive director of Human Resources at JBS, emphasizes the relevance of these hires. Meller highlights that the company is fully aware that it plays an important role in creating job vacancies and generating income, especially in the small cities where it is present. Its growth drives the economic development of these regions.
JBS is one of the largest employers in the country
A recent study carried out by the Economic Research Institute Foundation (Fipe), in partnership with the Regional and Urban Economy Center of the University of São Paulo (Nereus), revealed that JBS is responsible for generating approximately 3 million direct jobs, indirect and induced throughout Brazil. Furthermore, the company represented 2,10% of Brazil's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2021, contributing 2,73% of total jobs in the country.
JBS invests in innovative activities, conducted with a focus on excellence, food safety and the adoption of best sustainability practices across the entire value chain, operating on a diversified production and distribution platform.
The multinational is currently present in 15 countries, with more than 400 production units and offices, generating more than 250 thousand direct jobs worldwide.
