Used Models Offer Over 170 HP, Affordable Prices, and Different Performance Proposals, from Compact SUVs to Mid-Sized Sedans, Including Hybrid and Electric Options, All Focused on Performance and Complete Equipment.

Powerful cars are not just synonymous with acceleration.

It also counts the way in which the torque arrives, the exhaust roar, the action of the transmission, and the tuning of the suspension that holds the body in the curves.

With this focus on driving pleasure, we selected used options with a sporty touch and more affordable prices.

There are SUVs, sedans, and even electric options, all with performance above 170 hp and distinct proposals, but with the same goal: to deliver performance.

The price ranges were checked in ads on Mercado Livre during the production of the article, in September 2025.

Jeep Renegade with 1.3 Turbo T270 Engine

Launched with the 1.3 turbo flex T270 in 2022, the Renegade raised the performance level of the segment.

It offers up to 185 hp and 27.5 kgfm at 1,750 rpm, with direct injection and turbocharging, combined with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The set allows 0 to 100 km/h in 8.7 s, respectable numbers for a compact utility that preserves Jeep’s typical robustness.

In classifieds, the Longitude version appears starting at R$ 83,900.

The package usually includes six airbags, dual-zone digital air conditioning, 7” digital panel, multimedia center, 18” wheels, and cruise control.

It provides versatility of use, a good level of comfort, and an engine with breath reminiscent of compact sports cars.

Honda Civic Touring with 1.5 Turbo Engine

The 10th generation of the Civic debuted the 1.5 turbo in the Touring version, a four-cylinder with direct injection that produces 173 hp and 22.4 kgfm from 1,700 rpm.

The CVT transmission simulates seven gears when requested, balancing fuel consumption and performance for daily use and trips.

The mid-size sedan completes 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 s and achieved an official Inmetro consumption of 12.0 km/l in the city and 14.6 km/l on the highway, with gasoline.

In September, ads were starting from R$ 96,400, typically with leather seats, dual-zone digital air conditioning, full LED headlights, sunroof, multimedia with navigation, and the Honda Sensing package with ACC and automatic braking.

It is one of the most complete Civics ever sold in Brazil, bringing together technology and refined driving.

Fiat Pulse Abarth with 185 HP

The Pulse in the Abarth version uses the same 1.3 turbo T270 from the Renegade, tuned for more lively responses.

It delivers 185 hp and 27.5 kgfm and works with the six-speed automatic.

The acceleration is quick and the 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in 7.6 s.

The deep sound of the exhaust reinforces the character of the brand’s sports division, and the Poison button adopts a more aggressive calibration for the accelerator and transmission.

In ads, it starts at R$ 109,990 with multimedia of 10.1”, digital instrument cluster, digital air conditioning, keyless entry, sport seats, multiple airbags, exclusive 17” wheels, and stability and traction controls.

For those seeking fun in a national compact SUV, it is a direct alternative to discontinued sport hatches.

Volkswagen Jetta GLI with 230 HP

The Jetta in the GLI configuration brings under the hood the renowned 2.0 TSI EA888, a four-cylinder turbo with direct injection.

It delivers 230 hp and 35.7 kgfm at 1,500 rpm.

The DSG dual-clutch six-speed transmission performs very quick shifts and helps the sedan achieve 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 s.

The multilink rear suspension adds control in corners without sacrificing everyday comfort.

On the platform, prices started at R$ 139,900.

Generally, the GLI comes with six airbags, leather seats with electric adjustments, dual-zone air conditioning, ACC, collision warning, multimedia with wireless mirroring, front and rear sensors, and sunroof.

It combines the practicality of a mid-sized sedan with performance close to that of a classic sports car.

GWM Ora 03 GT Electric with 171 HP

Although it does not have a turbo engine — it is 100% electric — the Ora 03 GT enters as an option that provides an immediate feeling of power.

The set offers 171 hp, 25.5 kgfm, and a 63 kWh battery, with approximately 295 km of range as per Inmetro cycle.

Accelerations are intense and linear, with 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 s, and the absence of gear shifts favors urban use without losing vigor on highways.

Among used models, ads started from R$ 144,490.

The list of items typically includes panoramic sunroof, leather electric seats, digital air conditioning, 10.25” multimedia, digital panel, 360° camera, adaptive cruise control, and lane assist.

It combines retro/modern style and a technological interior, catering to those seeking performance with zero local emissions.

BYD King GS Hybrid with 235 HP

The BYD King arrived to compete among mid-sized sedans.

In the GS version, the hybrid setup combines a 1.5 combustion engine with electric motors to total 235 hp.

The immediate torque from the electric motors ensures strong starts, while the e-CVT transmission manages power delivery smoothly.

The reported result is 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 s, with comfort and finishing that target traditional rivals.

In September, offers were starting from R$ 152,900 for the GS.

Standard equipment includes ventilated leather seats, 15.6” rotating multimedia, head-up display, 360° camera, adaptive cruise control, sunroof, wireless charger, and a wide range of driving assistance features.

For those seeking performance with controlled consumption, the hybrid proposal adds efficiency without sacrificing quick responses.

Factors to Consider When Choosing Powerful Used Cars

Price, insurance, and maintenance should count as much as horsepower numbers.

Models with automatic transmission and turbo engines tend to offer a better compromise between performance and consumption, but require attention to service history and the use of quality fuel.

Assistance systems and safety items, such as six airbags and stability and traction controls, elevate the level of daily use.

On the other hand, electric and hybrid vehicles enhance efficiency, even if they deviate from the turbo engine focus highlighted in the title.

In the end, which matters more to you: the immediate delivery of a gasoline turbo, the silent linearity of an electric like the Ora 03 GT, or the combination of power and efficiency of the BYD King hybrid?
