Despite these obstacles, the student remained focused on preparing for the entrance exam.

Sara dedicated two years to a preparatory course, facing an intense study routine. This period required discipline and consistency to achieve the desired result.

The video in which Sara celebrates her approval alongside her parents went viral on social media this month. In the images, she cheers as she receives news of her spot at the university.
The student stated that she never imagined reaching so many people. According to her, the repercussion may be related to the fact that it is still rare to see poor people and those with disabilities occupying these spaces.
On Instagram, on the profile @atipicamentesara, she shares her study routine and experiences as a neurodivergent and low-income student. The initiative aims to encourage others to persist in their dreams, despite the difficulties faced.

What started as a message exchange evolved into a structured partnership.
External Validation and Risky Decision After Leaving Medical School
The partnership gained momentum when both were accepted into the Spring 2025 cohort of Y Combinator.
The approval from the accelerator served as a relevant endorsement and decisive encouragement. Faced with this opportunity, the two opted to leave college and devote themselves entirely to the budding startup.
This choice, surrounded by uncertainties, reflected the conviction that the project had real potential.
Novoflow and the Young People’s Proposal to Reduce Bottlenecks
From there, Novoflow was born, a startup focused on developing artificial intelligence agents for medical clinics. The inspiration came from Rihet’s personal experiences working as a medical translator.
Having experienced the daily life of the healthcare system, she observed operational bottlenecks, administrative redo, and integration failures between electronic records.
Routine situations that could impact costs, time, and quality of care. The company aimed precisely at these inefficiencies.
Today, Rihet and Casassovici are in San Francisco, where they are structuring the operation in a space that combines work and housing. The model seeks to reduce expenses and accelerate strategic decisions.
The product uses AI to automate administrative tasks and connect different electronic medical record systems, starting with critical functions such as cancellation recovery and appointment scheduling.
Investment and Next Steps
The market reacted positively. Novoflow raised US$ 3.1 million in funding, in a round led by angel investor Justin Hamilton, with participation from N1 Ventures, Multifaceted Capital, and Standard Partners Fund.
The capital will be used to expand the team and enhance technology. Currently, the startup has a junior founding engineer and an account executive.
The goal is to hire two more engineers and strengthen the commercial front with another sales executive.
Although he left university to start his business, young Casassovici completed the course by opting for the pass/fail system. Rihet, on the other hand, states that he has no plans to return.
His vision is that AI will able to take over the entire operational range of medical clinics, from billing to scheduling and adhering to prescriptions.
An ambitious bet, built on personal challenges and firsthand experience with concrete problems in the healthcare sector.
