These features allow the Kia EV5 to reach a top speed of 185 km/h.
The autonomy of the Kia EV5 is one of its highlights. With batteries supplied by BYD, the SUV has an estimated range of around 600 km, although Inmetro’s measurement indicates a range of up to 402 km.
The vehicle’s configuration includes a bold design, with LED headlights embedded in the bumper and high-mounted daytime running lights.
The hood is rounded and the car has few air intakes, as the engine is electric and does not require a radiator.
Dimensions And Interior Comfort
The Kia EV5 has dimensions that ensure good interior space: it measures 4.61 meters in length, 1.87 meters in width, 1.71 meters in height, and has a wheelbase of 2.75 meters.
The SUV’s trunk has a capacity of up to 513 liters, which can be expanded to 1,718 liters with the rear seat folded down.
Addititionally, there is a front compartment with 60 liters of capacity.

Standard items include a panoramic sunroof, six airbags, an electrically operated trunk lid, autonomous emergency braking with collision alert, blind spot alert, 360° camera, rear collision alert with rear traffic, and lane-keeping assistance.
Service Intervals And Available Colors
The Kia EV5 arrives in the market with the first three service intervals free and a 7 kW home charger.
The model is available in eight colors: snow white, ivory silver, matte ivory silver, ice blue, sea blue, starlight black, mineral gray, and iceberg green.
In addition to offering a complete package of technology and comfort, Kia seeks to consolidate its presence in the electric vehicle market with this new launch.
Kia EV5 Launch Inversion And Future Perspectives
Kia Motors initially planned to launch the EV9, the seven-seater electric SUV, before the EV5.
However, the Korean brand decided to reverse the launch dates, prioritizing the EV5.
The EV9, which is expected to arrive in the Brazilian market by the end of this year, promises to complement Kia’s offering in the electric SUV segment, further expanding options for consumers interested in larger vehicles.
With the arrival of the Kia EV5, competition in the electric SUV market in Brazil is likely to intensify.
The model not only faces direct rivals such as the BYD Sea Lion 7, Volvo XC40, and BMW iX1, but also challenges consumer perceptions of the value and innovation offered by electric vehicles.
The presence of the EV5 in the market may encourage other brands to accelerate the launch of their own electric models, promoting advancement in the segment and providing more options for buyers seeking sustainable and efficient alternatives.
