Kia Sportage 2026 Debuts With New Design And Focus On Technology
Represented by the Gandini Group, Kia Motors do Brasil revealed the Sportage 2026 still camouflaged during an exclusive event at a brand dealership.
The model initially arrives in the EX Prestige version, maintaining the promotional price of R$ 267,190 for the first batch.
Under the hood, the SUV retains the 1.6 Turbo GDI gasoline engine paired with a mild hybrid system of 48V (MHEV) — technology that assists with consumption but does not drive the wheels.
The set delivers 178 hp and 27 kgfm of torque, with a seven-speed dual-clutch automated transmission (DCT).
According to Inmetro, the model achieves 12.5 km/l in the city and 13.2 km/l on the highway, competitive performance within the automotive segment.
Safety And Comfort: The ADAS Package Is A Highlight Of The SUV
Among the differentiators of the Kia Sportage 2026, the highlight is the robust safety package ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System).
The set includes lane keeping and centering assist (LKA/LFA), automatic high beam (HBA), and driver drowsiness warning (DAW).
Other features reinforce the technological character of the SUV: there are forward collision warnings (FCA), blind spot detection (BCW), rear cross-traffic alerts (RCCW), and safe exit warnings (SEW).
The model also offers a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines, front and rear parking sensors, and a collision prevention system in multiple situations.
Despite the complete package, the brand has not yet confirmed whether the national Sportage will receive the innovations launched abroad, such as the Head-Up Display and fingerprint authentication.
Design Inspired By Kia’s Electric Vehicles
The SUV now adopts the same design already available in Europe and Asia, visually aligning with Kia’s electric car line.
The facelift focuses on the bumpers, the new light signature, and the redesigned wheels, resulting in a more modern and aerodynamic appearance.
The headlights are now larger and vertical, resembling those of the Sorento, Carnival, K4 And K8 models. The front grille has a new shape and enlarged air intake, reinforcing its sporty appeal.
At the rear, the taillights maintain their original shape but display new internal graphic elements and a redesigned bumper.
Renovated And More Technological Interior
The interior of the Kia Sportage 2026 emphasizes sophistication and ergonomics. The dashboard combines two curved 12.3-inch displays, integrating the instrument panel and multimedia system.
The air vents have been redesigned, and the ambient lighting is now more intense and customizable.
Another highlight is the new steering wheel, inspired by the Tasman 2025 pickup, which follows the brand’s global visual identity.
Kia has kept physical buttons for essential functions, prioritizing practicality, and reduced the use of black piano surfaces, which tended to accumulate fingerprints.

Kia Motors do Brasil reinforces its confidence in the SUV by maintaining the 5-year warranty for the vehicle, also covering the mild hybrid system and the 48V battery.
The official debut of the Kia Sportage 2026 will take place at the São Paulo Auto Show, where the public can get a closer look at the new design, the onboard technologies, and the enhanced comfort.
