Captain / Master

Qualifications / Required
5 Years of Experience on PLSVs, Working as Master; Unlimited Master’s License; STCW (REG II / 2) Competency Certificate
Unlimited DP Operator Certificate Issued by the Nautical Institute; Comply with the IMCA Guidelines for the Design and Operation of Dynamically Positioned Vessels; Meet the Requirements Outlined in Section 6.1 of the IMCA Document “Training and Experience of Key DP Personnel,” Except for the DP Simulator Certificate, Which May Be Waived for an Established DPO; BOSIET / FOET Survival (Optional); STCW Elementary First Aid; STCW Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting; STCW Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities; STCW Personal Survival Techniques; STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats; ARPA (Automatic Radar Plotting Aid); DP Induction; DP Operator; DP Simulator; ECDIS (Generic); Specific ECDIS Equipment Type (Kongsberg); Ship Security Officer (SSO).
Chief Engineer
The Chief Engineer Is Responsible for the Safe and Economical Management of the Vessel’s Facilities and Machinery and Must Ensure That All Measures Are Taken to Avoid Pollution of the Marine Environment.
When Appropriate, He or She Is Responsible for Ensuring That the Marine Engineering System and Technicians Maintain and Operate Their Respective Systems in Accordance with Relevant Manufacturer Recommendations and Relevant Legal Requirements.
He or She Is Responsible for Any Modifications to the Engineering System Once Approved and for Deciding Whether These Modifications Need to Be Forwarded to Certifying Authorities for Additional Approval, to Ensure That the System Retains Its Certification / Classification and Others.
Qualifications / Required
Unlimited Competency Certificate of the Chief Engineer (STCW Reg III / 2); Comply with the IMCA Guidelines for the Design and Operation of Dynamically Positioned Vessels; Comply with the Requirements Outlined in Section 6.7 of the IMCA Document “Training and Experience of Key DP Personnel”; Proven Experience on PLSV.
