With Polo Pricing, Jeep Avenger Arrives in Brazil with Full Force: The Most Anticipated Compact SUV of 2026 Promises to Dethrone Rivals like the Yaris Cross with Turbo Flex Engine, Bold Design, and Competitive Pricing
Mini SUV with Polo pricing? A Stellantis has just revved up expectations: the Jeep Avenger, the smallest SUV in the brand’s history, will be produced in Brazil starting in 2026. With national manufacturing and a price cheaper than the Renegade, the new model promises to redefine Jeep’s entry-level segment in the country, aiming to win the hearts of consumers looking for a compact Brazilian SUV that is modern and efficient.
The confirmation came loud and clear. During the celebrations for the 10th anniversary of the Goiana (PE) plant, Emanuele Cappellano, president of Stellantis South America, officially announced the arrival of the Jeep Avenger in the national market. Although the celebration took place in Pernambuco, production will indeed be in Porto Real (RJ) — where Stellantis already assembles vehicles from the Citroën and Peugeot brands, such as the C3, Aircross, and the 208.
“We want to take this moment to affirm that the Avenger is coming to Brazil, but the Renegade will not be discontinued and will remain on the market for a long time,” declared Hugo Domingues, vice president of Jeep in South America.

CMP Platform and Production in Rio de Janeiro
Unlike the Renegade, which is based on the Small Wide 4×4 platform, the Avenger utilizes the CMP architecture, the same as the compact models already produced in Porto Real. This confirms the technical feasibility of production and also the industrial strategy of Stellantis, which plans an investment of R$ 3 billion in the Rio de Janeiro plant to add a fourth model to the assembly line — previously kept under wraps.
According to AutoEsporte, this fourth vehicle will indeed be the Avenger, which fits perfectly into the factory structure and the national portfolio of the automaker.
Smaller than the Renegade, but with a Strong Presence
With a length of 4.08 meters, width of 1.78 m, height of 1.53 m, and a wheelbase of 2.56 m, the Jeep Avenger is 22 cm shorter than the Renegade, although the wheelbase is only 1 cm shorter. These dimensions enhance its urban appeal without sacrificing interior space — a balance desired by many compact SUV consumers.
The idea from Stellantis is clear: while the Renegade and Compass move toward larger dimensions in their future generations, the Avenger positions itself as an entry option for the brand, absorbing the audience looking for a more accessible and practical model, including among the categories eligible for tax exemptions for people with disabilities.
National Engine with Mild Hybrid System
In the European market, the Jeep Avenger is equipped with a 1.2 turbo engine with 136 hp, developed by Peugeot. In Brazil, the engine will be adapted for local conditions. The SUV will utilize the already known 1.0 turbo flex engine with 130 hp and 21.4 kgfm, developed by Fiat and present in models such as Fiat Pulse, Fastback, Citroën C3, and Peugeot 208.
The national Avenger will also feature a 12V mild hybrid system right from launch, following the trend of partial electrification that is gaining traction among more compact and urban models. The 1.3 turbo engine with 176 hp, currently available in the Renegade, is expected to remain exclusive to more sophisticated versions of this model.
Cheapest Price in the Jeep Lineup
Will the Jeep Avenger have a Polo price? Although the official price has not yet been announced, the estimate is that the Jeep Avenger will cost between R$ 120,000 and R$ 150,000, placing it below the Renegade and competing with rivals such as Nivus, Tracker, and Pulse Abarth. The expectation is that the most basic version of the Renegade will be discontinued, making the Avenger the main entry point for the brand.
This strategy aims to also serve the PCd audience, with versions that comply with the R$ 120,000 cap imposed by current legislation for IPI exemption.
*Volkswagen Polo 2025 in the most complete versions (Highline 1.0 TSI) currently costs between R$ 115,000 and R$ 130,000.
Avenger is Part of a Strategic Repositioning of Jeep in Brazil and South America
The arrival of the Avenger is part of a strategic repositioning of Jeep in Brazil and South America. With over a decade of success with the Renegade, the brand is now betting on a smaller and more efficient model to consolidate its leadership in the compact SUV market.
According to information from the automaker itself in interviews with specialized media, the nationalization of the Avenger represents an expansion of the portfolio and the maximum utilization of existing platforms within the Stellantis group, which includes Fiat, Jeep, Peugeot, and Citroën under one roof.

- The Yaris Cross offers the advantage of hybrid technology, a strong focus on fuel economy, and the recognized reliability of Toyota.
Both are excellent options for those seeking a compact Brazilian SUV focused on efficiency and urban versatility, but with slightly different profiles: the Jeep is more performance and style-oriented, while the Toyota prioritizes fuel consumption and embedded technology.
In other words, the Yaris Cross is indeed a direct competitor to the Jeep Avenger, especially for consumers seeking an affordable national SUV with low fuel consumption, but who prefer Toyota’s expertise in hybrid systems. Both are expected to compete for space with benefits for PCd, tax exemptions, and entry-level premium technologies.

The model will be launched in the second half of 2026, with a simultaneous debut in dealerships across the country. Production in Porto Real is already part of the automaker’s logistical plans, which promises to reveal new technical and visual details of the model in the coming months.
