The Denza: BYD’s Luxury Brand Presents 3 Cars in Brazil, With Prices Ranging From R$ 436 Thousand to R$ 800 Thousand. Discover Range and Power.

The Denza: BYD’s luxury brand presents 3 cars with prices reaching R$ 800 thousand in one of the most anticipated announcements of the São Paulo International Motor Show.

The revelation was made during a press conference held this month, when the Chinese automaker detailed what it is bringing to the country: a plug-in hybrid SUV, a super sports station wagon, and an executive minivan.

The news comes from those leading BYD’s premium expansion in Brazil, in a move that reinforces the brand’s positioning in the luxury segment.

The launches occurred this year at the current edition of the show, where the brand set up one of the most sought-after booths at the event.

The presentations were part of the Brazilian strategy to expand the national portfolio, and they occur because the company wants to compete with traditional European brands that dominate the highest price ranges.

With a focus on technology, extended range, and sophisticated design, the Denza officially begins its journey in the country repositioning BYD in the premium market.

Denza B5 SUV Premieres With 677 HP and Total Range of 1,200 Km

The star of the announcement was the Denza B5, the first model from the sub-brand to debut here.

Thus, the SUV arrives in Brazil with an official price of R$ 436 thousand, inaugurating Denza’s presence in the luxury utility segment.

Robust Design and Powerful Mechanics

The B5, known in China as Fang Cheng Bao 5, combines a square design, robust build, and a ladder frame chassis, something rare among luxury hybrids.

It measures 4.90 meters in length and 2.80 meters in wheelbase, dimensions superior to rivals like the Toyota SW4.

Moreover, the mechanical set is also impressive. The 1.5 turbo gasoline engine works with two electric units, one on each axle, delivering 677 hp and nearly 80 kgfm of torque.

Thus, the SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, according to the manufacturer.

Hybrid Range and Generous Battery

The 31.8 kWh battery guarantees about 100 km in electric mode, according to the Chinese cycle. However, with a full tank and battery, the B5 can achieve up to 1,200 km in hybrid mode, one of the largest ranges in its category.

Technological Interior and First-Class Comfort

Inside, the model features premium finishing and three screens:

12.3” Digital Dashboard

15.6” Multimedia Center

12.3” Front Screen for the Passenger

The SUV also features electric seats with heating, cooling, and massage, in addition to an integrated refrigerator with temperatures ranging from -6°C to 50°C.

There are also 16 driving modes, adjustable suspension (raises up to 90 mm and lowers 50 mm), differential locks, and 11 airbags.

Denza Z9 GT: 965 HP Electric Station Wagon Arrives in 2026

Then the second launch of Denza in Brazil will be the Z9 GT, slated for the first half of 2026. It is a luxury electric station wagon inspired by the design of the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo.

Its price will be R$ 650 thousand, reinforcing the premium positioning of the lineup.

With a length of 5.23 m and a wheelbase of 3.12 m, the model is one of the longest in its category.

Thus, the station wagon features three electric motors, which combine for an incredible 965 hp and 97 kgfm of torque. The acceleration is super sporty: 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds.

The 100.1 kWh battery offers a range of 630 km in the Chinese cycle, and is expected to be close to 500 km under Inmetro standards.

Denza D9: Luxury Minivan Will Cost R$ 800 Thousand in Brazil

The third launch is the D9 minivan, which will become BYD’s most expensive vehicle in the country, with a suggested price of R$ 800 thousand. The model is expected to launch in the second half of 2026.

Executive-Class Environment

Thus, the D9 measures 5.25 m in length and has a wheelbase of 3.11 m, accommodating up to 7 people in a 2+2+3 arrangement.

The Brazilian version will be hybrid, with 300 hp, nearly 60 kgfm of torque, and a combined range of 965 km.

The second row is the main highlight: true executive-class armchairs, with massage, ventilation, heating, and controls on a 5.5-inch screen in the armrests.

Additionally, two 12.8-inch screens complete the entertainment system.

Origin of Denza: Partnership Between BYD and Mercedes-Benz

Established in 2010 as a joint venture between BYD and Mercedes-Benz, Denza’s history was completely redefined when the Chinese giant took over 90% of the brand in 2021.

Thus, in 2023, BYD completed the purchase of the remaining 10% and began fully controlling the company, a move that now gains strength with the official arrival of the premium line in the Brazilian market.
