Selection Process
The selection for these programs is highly rigorous, with classification criteria that assess candidates’ knowledge and their ability to apply what they learn in practice.
For PROFHISTORIA, the selection process consists of objective and essay exams, while for PROFSOCIO, the evaluation is based on the analysis of the statement of purpose and the virtual defense of the research project.
Approved candidates will have a unique opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge in both practical and theoretical ways while maintaining their professional activities.
The training offered by these programs is nationally recognized and respected, providing teachers with qualifications that can open doors to new opportunities in the academic field and contribute to a more robust education.
Deadlines and Distribution of Spots
The distribution of spots for both programs has been carefully planned to ensure access for teachers from all over Brazil, regardless of the region.
This broad structure is essential to promote the inclusion of professionals from various realities and enrich the academic environment with diverse perspectives.
It is important to stay alert to the enrollment deadlines to ensure participation:
- PROFHISTORIA: registration until November 13, 2024

The programs have national coverage, with spots distributed across various educational institutions from north to south of the country.
Reasons to Participate
For teachers interested in academic growth and contributing to the quality of education, this is a highly valuable opportunity.
Participating in a professional master’s program recognized by MEC and CAPES not only offers high-level training but also allows educators to apply the knowledge gained directly in their daily practices.
As a result, it is possible to increase the effectiveness and innovation of pedagogical approaches, helping to form more critical and informed students.
This investment in continued education by MEC is a strategic step to improve the teaching environment across Brazil, and the return for the teacher is reflected both in the quality of their performance and in their professional development.
