New Chevrolet Onix 2025 has just been announced! Now, Hyundai HB20, Fiat Argo and Honda City must pay attention to this future sales leader.
Launched in Brazil around 12 years ago, the Chevrolet Onix went through a real rollercoaster on its journey. The model was the sales leader for six years, however it no longer has the same strength as before and was heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, but managed to close 2023 as the third best-selling car in Brazil. This year, however, it is in fifth position until March and it seems that the announcement of the new Chevrolet Onix Plus Premier 2025 – TOP-of-the-line 2025 version came at a good time.
New Chevrolet Onix 2025 could change the direction of sales of Chevrolet and be the new flagship
Perhaps the early launch of the new Chevrolet Onix 2025 could have some effect on sales, even if there is no change in equipment or engine packages for the relevant models.
The Premier sedan, however, lost the two-tone finish that combines black with caramel. The real changes will take place next year, with a new look and updated engines.
The new Chevrolet Onix 2025 starts at R$87.790 in version 1.0, which does not have a surname, and reaches R$119.700 in the top of the line, Premier.
An increase of R$1.640 in the cheapest version and R$2.310 in the most expensive, compared to the 2024 line. In the case of the sedan Chevrolet Onix Plus 2025, Prices now range from R$99.490 to R$125.790.
In terms of design, the model will change with the aim of getting closer to GM launches around the world, with thinner headlights and a trapezoid-shaped grille, which extends to the base of the bumper and more angular lines, which promise to repeat the success of the current design.
New Chevrolet Onix 2025 delivers up to 116 hp
The 1.0 and LT 1.0 versions have a 1.0 flex engine, three cylinders in line and 12 valves with six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive.
The engine generates 82 horsepower on ethanol and 78 horsepower on gasoline. Torque is 10,6 kgfm with ethanol and 9,6 kgfm with gasoline. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 13,3 seconds and the maximum speed is 167 km/h.
The rest versions of the new Chevrolet Onix 2025 have a 1.0 turbo flex engine, with three cylinders in line and 12 valves with six-speed automatic transmission, with the exception of the LT MT Turbo, which has a six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive.
The engine generates 116 horsepower with ethanol or gasoline. Maximum torque is 16,8 kgfm with ethanol and 16,3 kgfm with gasoline. Acceleration in this case is from 0 to 100 km/h in just 10,1 seconds and the maximum speed is 187 km/h.
What about the interior of the new Chevrolet Onix 2025?
The interior of the new model tends to follow the dashboard of the new Spin, with floating panels and better image qualities and at least more expensive inversions and a digital instrument panel.
The cheapest version of the model will feature a 14-inch steel wheel with integral hubcaps, black exterior rear-view mirrors, black door handles, folding knife key, speaker set – 4 units (2 tweeters and 2 front), USB input double (for loading only) fabric seats, Jet Black interior trim, 3-spoke steering wheel and silver interior door handles. It is worth noting that the more expensive versions will come with more standard items.
