Initially, the Tiggo 9 is expected to be equipped with a 2.0 turbo gasoline engine, capable of developing 260 horsepower and 40,2 kgfm of torque, coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch automated transmission. A second plug-in hybrid powertrain option would be introduced, combining a 1.5 turbo gasoline engine with two electric motors, resulting in a combined power of 310 horsepower.
