New MEI App Centralizes Services for Microentrepreneurs and Gains Virtual Assistant in the MEI Em Ação Package.
A complete digitization package aimed at individual microentrepreneurs will be presented by the federal government this Wednesday (10), in Brasília, bringing together the new MEI app, MEI virtual assistant, training tools, and a network of integration among the Union, states, and municipalities.
The initiative, called MEI Em Ação, aims to facilitate how microentrepreneurs access public services, expanding the offerings within the gov.br MEI application and centralizing tasks previously scattered across different platforms.
The government justifies the move by highlighting the necessity of reducing bureaucracy and improving the digital experience for nearly 16.8 million MEIs in the country.
-
Unemployment rises again to 5.8% at the beginning of 2026, raising alarms about the end of temporary positions and its impact on the Brazilian job market.
-
Document organization can cut invisible costs in small businesses, a simple step that prevents waste, rework, and losses in daily operations.
-
Chinese giant worth nearly R$ 4 billion that manufactures cables for electric cars, solar energy, and robotics wants to open a factory in SC.
-
Many employers do not know, but the law guarantees domestic workers a 25% increase in salary during trips, 50% for overtime, 20% for night shifts, and 17 additional benefits that can lead to labor lawsuits if not paid.
Furthermore, right at its launch, MEI Em Ação focuses on transforming the routine of entrepreneurs, providing faster processes, intelligent service, and integration with essential government programs.
New MEI App Centralizes Services for Microentrepreneurs
The main novelty of the package is the new MEI app, which is free and fully integrated with the gov.br login. Additionally, the app will gather, in one environment, all services for microentrepreneurs currently available on the Entrepreneur Portal.
Among the main functions, there will be:
Issuance of essential documents;
Consultation to the Electronic Tax Address;
New payment methods for the DAS;
Monitoring of fiscal status;
Shortcuts for formalization;
Issuance of NF-e;
Regularization of pending issues;
Consultation and modification of registration data.
Thus, the gov.br MEI app promises to replace various steps that were previously taken on separate websites, making navigation simpler and more intuitive.
Integration with Credit, Payment, and Public Procurement
In addition to basic services, the new app will bring direct connections with public policies aimed at the sector.
Among them is Procred 360, a program that offers credit lines with special conditions for MEIs.
The package also includes:
MEI Card, a credit and debit card with no annual fee;
Access to Contrata+Brasil, a platform that allows public agencies to hire services from small entrepreneurs.
Moreover, this integration is expected to facilitate access to credit and expand business opportunities, strengthening the formalization and competitiveness of microentrepreneurs.
MEI Virtual Assistant Will Guide Entrepreneurs in Real-Time
Another innovation of MEI Em Ação is the creation of a MEI virtual assistant, based on artificial intelligence, designed to clarify doubts, guide processes, and offer personalized recommendations.
The tool will function as continuous support for those seeking to understand tax obligations, access benefits, or resolve issues quickly.
Thus, according to the government, the assistant was built to reduce errors and speed up tasks that currently tend to generate confusion and rework among microentrepreneurs.
Training Path and Business Management Software
The package also includes qualification actions and technical support.
Among them:
A path of free video lessons, covering topics ranging from pricing to customer relationship;
A business management software focused on financial organization, sales control, and monitoring indicators.
These resources reinforce the government’s strategy to further professionalize the base of MEIs and provide tools to increase revenue and productivity.
Why the Government Invests in MEI Em Ação
The plan was designed to directly reach a broad and diversified audience: the 16.8 million individual microentrepreneurs currently registered in the country.
Official data shows that:
52% are in the Southeast;
18% in the Northeast;
55% are women.
Moreover, besides modernizing access to services, the government recognizes that MEIs represent a strategic electoral group and, according to internal analyses, still resistant to the Lula government.
Thus, MEI Em Ação seeks to provide practical solutions to the sector’s needs, delivering digitization, financial support, and more growth opportunities.
MEI Em Ação Promises a New Era of Convenience for Microentrepreneurs
With the launch of the new MEI app, the integration into the gov.br MEI application, and the offering of a MEI virtual assistant, the government bets on a real transformation in the experience of those who undertake in Brazil.
Thus, the package brings together technology, training, and public policies in a single ecosystem, strengthening the microentrepreneur’s performance and modernizing the relationship with the State.
