In the world of medium sedans, where the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic dominate attention, there is an option that often goes unnoticed: the Nissan Sentra SE 2.0 2013 AT. This model, despite being ignored by many, offers an unbeatable combination of affordable price, powerful engine, and efficient fuel consumption, making it a smart choice for those seeking a reliable and economical car.

When it comes to medium sedans in Brazil, the first thing that comes to mind are the traditional Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic. However, the Nissan Sentra SE 2.0 2013 AT emerges as a viable and often cheaper alternative. Although it doesn’t have the same recognition as its Japanese competitors, the Sentra delivers much more than expected, especially in terms of engine and fuel consumption.

The Nissan Sentra SE 2.0 2013 AT comes equipped with an MR20DE engine producing 143 horsepower and 20.3 kgfm of torque at 4,800 revolutions per minute. This engine, similar to the one in the Nissan Tiida, provides stable and reliable performance, ideal for daily driving in Brazilian cities. The CVT transmission, known for its smooth shifting, complements the setup, offering a comfortable and economical driving experience.

Fuel Consumption

When it comes to fuel consumption, the Nissan Sentra SE 2.0 2013 AT positively surprises. During road tests conducted by enthusiasts of the model, it achieved an average of 16 km/l, which puts it in a prominent position compared to other medium sedans of its time. In the city, fuel consumption hovers around 8 to 9 km/l, which, considering the 2.0 engine, is quite reasonable. This balance between power and economy makes the Sentra an extremely competitive option, especially for those who drive long distances daily.

Maintenance? OK

The maintenance cost of the Nissan Sentra SE 2.0 2013 AT is not exorbitant. With parts available at affordable prices and a durability history, this model stands out as a rational choice for those who want a reliable car without spending much. Service appointments are straightforward, and with a good maintenance history, the car can last many years without significant issues.

Design and Comfort

In terms of design, the Nissan Sentra SE 2.0 2013 AT may not be the most modern, but its classic appearance still appeals to many. With a length of 4.56 meters and a height of 1.51 meters, it holds its place well as a medium sedan. The front, while considered by some as “dated”, has a charm that recalls classic American designs, giving the car a distinct personality.

Inside, the Nissan Sentra SE 2.0 2013 AT does not disappoint. The interior space is generous, with good legroom both in the front and back. The leather seats provide added comfort, and the finish, while not luxurious, is functional and well-built. The trunk, with a capacity of 442 liters, can be expanded to up to 1,000 liters with the rear seats folded down, making it ideal for trips and transporting luggage.

Technology and Safety

The Nissan Sentra SE 2.0 2013 AT comes equipped with keyless entry, traction control, power steering, ABS brakes, and a sound system with inputs for iPod and USB. However, the model lacks side and rear airbags, which are only present in the more complete versions, like the SL. Even so, for the year it was manufactured, the Sentra’s tech package is quite satisfactory, meeting daily needs well.

The Nissan Sentra SE 2.0 2013 AT is undoubtedly one of the most underrated options in the medium sedan market in Brazil. With a robust engine, efficient consumption, and a quite affordable price compared to its direct competitors, this model offers excellent value for money. For those seeking a reliable, comfortable, and economical car without sacrificing good performance, the Sentra SE 2.0 2013 AT certainly deserves a second look. Its FIPE value this year is  R$ 37,842.

O Sentra não é econômico

Tenho 2 carros, ambos da Nissan. Versa e Rogue.
