The Electric Car, Mercedes Vision EQXX, Set A New Range Record With A Single Charge And Managed To Travel For 14 Hours On A Route Of More Than 1,2 Thousand Kilometers.
When the electric car Mercedes Vision EQXX broke the previous mileage record with just one charge, traveling from Germany to the Côte d’Azur for more than 1,000 km without stopping to recharge, it crossed the finish line with a remaining range of 140 km. However, this time, the German brand’s concept did even better, managing to travel 1,202 kilometers without any need to recharge.
Electric Car Mercedes Makes 8-Hour Trip
In search of a new record, the Vision EQXX left Stuttgart and went to Silverstone, in the United Kingdom, passing through France, Calais, and then through the Eurotunnel to reach the famous Formula 1 circuit. Compared to the previous challenge, the electric model, Mercedes Vision EQXX, had to take a different route. It was no longer characterized by the ascents and descents of alpine roads where it occasionally worked on energy regeneration and acceleration.
The vehicle with great range traveled on a flatter track, but with higher temperatures, reaching 30 degrees Celsius and with air conditioning on during the 8-hour trip. In addition, the electric car from Mercedes passed near large cities like Stuttgart and London, having to manage driving in heavier traffic conditions.
