Michelin and General Motors launch airless tire that does not puncture; new technology will revolutionize the automotive industry in the world

The development was long and it took more than ten years for the giant manufacturers of vehicles and tires for the automotive industry, General Motors and Michelin, to find the definitive solution. But the project appears to be ahead of the curve and the sale of the long-awaited Uptis – the airless, puncture-free tire of the future, could happen within a year.

The idea behind Uptis (Unique Puncture-Proof Tire System) is that the wheel supports the weight of the car through flexible spokes made of a mixture of fiberglass and rubber, materials that provide the necessary flexibility and rigidity to roll, instead of using pressurized air as an internal element. Vacancies for Rio de Janeiro

Requirements:

• Engineering Students (Various) from the 4th period onwards or expected to graduate between DEC/2023 and July/2024
• Availability to intern from 8am to 15pm
• Advanced Knowledge in Excel
• Good knowledge of Power BI
• Advanced English

Main activities:

Support analysts and/or organizers in carrying out time/movement studies on jobs, within a delimited and restricted perimeter.

Analyze and criticize the working conditions of operators, machines and processes, proposing opportunities for improvement.

Carry out small studies/analyses in the process.

Make OC with report and present to customers.

Participate in the Procurement MQP (alternate).
