With 3,184 positions open, the new public competition is a unique opportunity for doctors across the country. The Mais Médicos positions are distributed across all 26 states and the Federal District. Interested candidates must meet certain requirements. They may apply if they are doctors graduated from Brazilian universities or have validated diplomas in Brazil, in addition to Brazilian and foreign doctors qualified to practice medicine abroad.
It is essential to highlight that foreign doctors must have knowledge of the Portuguese language and be familiar with the guidelines of the Unified Health System (SUS). A new feature of the Ministry of Health’s public competition is the inclusion of positions under the quota system for people with disabilities and ethnic-racial groups, such as blacks, quilombolas, and indigenous peoples. This initiative aims to enhance diversity and inclusion within the program.
Allocation of Doctors and Compensation
The selected doctors to fill the Mais Médicos positions will be allocated in regions considered priorities and have high social vulnerability.
