More Than 400 Open Positions for Administrative Technician in the New MPU Exam, With Hundreds of Appointments Expected in the Coming Years

With more than 400 vacancies available and another 916 retirement slots projected in the coming years, the need for new professionals is evident. The MPU, in its latest memo sent by the Secretary-General Eliana Torelly to the Attorney General of the Republic Paulo Gonet, revealed impressive numbers: there are currently 404 open positions for the role of administrative technician across the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Union, distributed among its various areas of expertise. This does not include the projected 916 retirements over the next five years. In other words, if you are approved in the selection process, the chances of being called are very high!

Attractive Positions and Payments in the New Public Competition
For those eyeing a position at the MPU, the role of administrative technician requires a completed higher education degree, and the salaries are quite competitive, with a starting salary of R$ 8,529.64. This amount includes a R$ 3,554.02 base salary and R$ 4,975.64 for MPU Activity Gratification (GAMPU). Additionally, it is always good to remember that the MPU has a tradition of making appointments far exceeding the number of initial vacancies offered. In the last exam, for example, only 11 immediate vacancies were made available, but throughout the validity of the competition, the MPU appointed more than 1,270 administrative technicians.

What to Expect from the New Public Notice?
If you are thinking about participating in the next MPU competition, it is important to pay attention to the details of the public notice. The Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) will be the organizing board responsible for the selection, replacing Cebraspe, which handled the last six editions. This means that we can expect changes in the examination approach, making focused preparation on FGV’s style even more crucial.
The objective and discursive exams have already been confirmed, with a total of 80 questions (30 on General Knowledge and 50 on Specific Knowledge). The discursive exam will consist of a written response of up to 30 lines, which will be decisive in evaluating the candidates. Oh, and for those interested in the role of institutional security technician (MPU police), there will also be a physical fitness test (TAF), with exercises such as pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, and running.
Another interesting point is that the exams will be held in all state capitals in Brazil, as well as the Federal District, facilitating access for candidates from all regions of the country.

In addition to the positions for administrative technician, the MPU will also cover various other specialties. Among the available opportunities are roles in the areas of internal control, information technology, nursing, oral health, among others. With this diversity of areas, the selection process promises to attract a large number of applicants. The estimate is that around 340,000 candidates will compete for the positions, with 210,000 solely for the MPU technician roles.
