Event Related to Oil Production and Economic Aspects of RN Will Take Place Tomorrow (18) in Natal and Will Feature Bento

On this Wednesday (18), the 38th edition of the Motors of Development Seminar will take place in Natal-RN, whose theme is “Management of Oil Production and the Future of RN”. The event will feature the presence of the Minister of Mines and Energy, Bento Albuquerque, who will provide details on REATE 2020 during his lecture. Established in 2017, the Revitalization Program for Oil and Natural Gas Exploration and Production Activities in Land Areas, REATE 2020, aims, among other actions, to stimulate the creation of national companies, including startups, and to seek ways to attract foreign investments to the Brazilian onshore segment.

“Our expectation is that by 2030, production will double, increasing from 270,000 to 500,000 barrels per day of oil equivalent,” says Bento Albuquerque. In addition to RN, the initiative will cover oil and gas exploration hubs in the states of Ceará, Sergipe, Maranhão, Alagoas, Bahia, Espírito Santo, and Amazonas.

The expectation is that the new investments arriving in the sector with the divestment process of Petrobras and the installation of new oil companies will reach R$ 4 billion annually by the end of the decade, where today, they amount to R$ 1.6 billion per year, according to information from the Ministry of Mines and Energy.

In addition to the current minister, important names will be present at the event such as: Amaro Sales de Araújo, President of Fiern; Fátima Bezerra, Governor of RN; Gutemberg Dias, President of REDEPETRO/RN; Anabal Santos, Executive Secretary of ABPIP; Márcio Felix Carvalho Bezerra, President of the Administrative Councils of PPSA and ES Gás.

The seminar is promoted by the newspaper Tribuna do Norte and the FIERN System, in partnership with Fecomércio, UFRN, COSERN, UNP, RG Salamanca Investments, and with the support of the Government of the State of RN.
