The Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) is offering 1.380 places on free distance learning courses for 2025.1. With options aimed at undergraduate studies, the places are an excellent opportunity for those who want to enter higher education without having to attend daily in-person classes, but with specific in-person activities at support centers spread throughout the state of Pernambuco.
As opportunities are for courses Bachelor's and undergraduate degrees in areas such as Biological Sciences, Physical Education, Geography, History, Mathematics, Literature and Accounting. In addition, the candidate must have participated in one of the last five editions of the National High School Exam (Enem), an essential requirement to compete for the vacancies.

How the selection process works
To participate in the selection process, candidates must have taken one of the five most recent editions of the Enem. The selection will be carried out in three categories: open competition, quotas for students from public schools, and specific vacancies for teachers in the basic education network of municipal and state schools. Teachers, in fact, have their own application form and are exempt from the application fee.
Applications are open until November 25th and can be submitted upon payment of a fee of R$35. It is important that candidates check the notice and fill out the specific form for the desired course, available on the Prograd website, where all the necessary information is listed.
Where to sign up
For those interested in participating in the free distance learning courses offered by UFPE, registrations can be made directly on the Prograd website (UFPE's Office of Undergraduate Studies)). Candidates must choose the course of interest, fill out the specific form and then pay the fee, except for teachers, who have until November 22 to register with a fee waiver.
