The company is responsible for the movement of large equipment over a distance of approximately 500 kilometers
Movecta, one of the largest integrated logistics companies in the country, is leading the transportation of a 250-ton transformer in Pernambuco. The operation began in the early hours of this Tuesday (April 29), departing from the company’s unit at the port of Suape, Pernambuco, heading to the wind complex Serra da Palmeira, located in Paraíba. The movement of the mega equipment is expected to last around 20 days, covering a distance of approximately 500 kilometers.
The transformer, manufactured in China and imported by general cargo ship, will be used to elevate the voltage of the energy generated by the wind turbines, adjusting the voltage to 500 thousand volts, compatible with the National Interconnected System (SIN). This process is essential to minimize electrical losses and ensure efficiency in energy distribution.

National energy dilemma: Brazilians support clean energy but reject increases in tariff costs to finance the sustainable transition.
The transportation of a special transformer like this involves complex logistics and detailed planning. “We act as strategic partners in projects that require logistical intelligence, technical capacity, and strict operational control. Each stage of the operation is carefully designed to ensure safety, compliance with deadlines, and preservation of road infrastructure. We have extensive experience in this type of project, conducting the transportation of oversize loads for over 15 years,” emphasizes Roberto Teller, Operations Director at Movecta.
The movement of this oversized cargo will be carried out by a vehicle set of 113 meters in length. The operation meets the parameters of the National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT) and mobilizes security agents, such as escorts from the Federal Highway Police, scouts, and a highly qualified technical team.
The project’s complexity required a tailored integrated solution, including a Geometric Feasibility Study (EVG), maneuvering studies at critical points along the route, and permits from state and federal transit agencies.
According to Tiago Macário, Movecta’s leader in the Northeast region, the initiative reinforces the company’s position in addressing high-complexity demands with cutting-edge logistics solutions. “We are prepared to lead projects involving oversize cargo, with a complete structure for reception, storage, and dispatch. The execution of this transportation is more than just a delivery; it is an example of successful technical application that generates value for our clients and for the entire sector.”
With operations in different regions of the country, Movecta has been expanding its presence in the energy, infrastructure, and large equipment sectors, supporting special projects that require advanced logistical engineering. “The demand for customized and technically robust solutions has been increasing. Our focus is to respond to this demand with excellence, safety, and operational efficiency,” adds Macário.
