The German company Nexat was founded in 2017 with the aim of revolutionizing agricultural production. The modules can be swapped by one person in less than 10 minutes, and there are plans to fully automate this process in the near future.
One might argue that tractor-mounted harvesters mean there is nothing new here, but the Nexat revolution takes the concept several steps further: first, the system is 14m wide and designed for use in controlled traffic systems – this means that only five percent of the field is driven on, compared to 60 to 80 percent under conventional machines.
