DOF Group Signs New Contracts With Petrobras to Charter the Skandi Niterói and Skandi Botafogo Vessels in Brazil. The Long-Term Contracts Strengthen the Norwegian Company’s Presence in the Offshore Support Market, Ensuring Operations Until 2029.

DOF Group, a Norwegian company specialized in maritime services, consolidates its strong presence in the Brazilian market with the signing of two new charter contracts with Petrobras. The agreements involve the support vessels Skandi Niterói and Skandi Botafogo, significantly expanding DOF’s project portfolio in the country.

Skandi Niterói Arrives as a Reinforcement in the PLSV Fleet

The Skandi Niterói, a 142.2-meter-long pipe-laying support vessel (PLSV), will see its operations with Petrobras extended through a new three-year contract, set to start in 2025 with an option for extension.

Owned by Dofcon Navegação Ltda., a joint venture between DOF Subsea (50%) and TechnipFMC (50%), the vessel is an important asset for complex offshore operations.

Skandi Botafogo: Continuity and Expansion in AHTS Services

Meanwhile, the Skandi Botafogo, aanchor-handling support vessel (AHTS), will continue operating for Petrobras until the first quarter of 2025.

From then on, a new four-year charter contract, with an additional one-year option, will continue the successful partnership between the companies.

Before the new contract begins, the vessel will be equipped with a class work remotely operated vehicle (ROV) with a nominal capacity of 3,000 meters, further enhancing its capabilities.

DOF Group Closes Partnership With Petrobras

The new contracts with Petrobras reinforce DOF Group’s position as a strategic partner for the Brazilian oil and gas giant.

“We are excited to announce yet another award for our PLSV fleet in Brazil and the AHTS contract, which guarantees backlog until the second quarter of 2029. These long-term awards demonstrate our unique position in Brazil”, says Mons S. Aase, CEO of DOF Group.

The signing of the new contracts consolidates a successful trajectory for DOF Group in Brazil.

Since the beginning of this month, the company had already announced a contract with Petrobras for the chartering of the PLSV Skandi Vitória.

In April, DOF also secured agreements with the Brazilian oil company for the chartering of the AHTS vessels Skandi Amazonas and Skandi Rio.

With ongoing investments in the modernization of its fleet and the training of its professionals, DOF Group positions itself as a reference in high-quality maritime services, meeting the complex demands of the oil and gas industry in Brazil.

The company demonstrates a solid commitment to the country, contributing to the development of the sector and the success of Petrobras’s operations.
