Pharmaceutical Multinational ACG Invests R$ 100 Million in the Expansion of Its Factory in Pouso Alegre, Increasing Capsule Production Capacity by 60%.

The pharmaceutical multinational ACG announced on Wednesday (25) the reopening of its factory specialized in capsule production, located in Pouso Alegre, in southern Minas. The project involved an investment of over R$ 100 million, aimed at increasing the production capacity of the facility by 60%. With this expansion, ACG expects to produce 20 billion capsules annually.

New Job Opportunities at ACG

With the expansion of the factory, ACG has created 80 new job openings in the region. Currently, the facility employs around 300 direct employees and 100 service providers.

The new hires include positions for print operators and production supervisors.

The company is also looking for professionals to fill personnel vacancies.

Global Presence and Certifications

Founded in 1964, ACG is a multinational company operating in over 100 countries and has more than 4,500 employees worldwide.

The factory in Pouso Alegre is responsible for producing capsules for the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical markets and holds important certifications such as GMP, Halal, and Kosher.

These certifications ensure the quality and safety of the manufactured products. ACG, as a pharmaceutical multinational, always strives for excellence in its processes.

Market Growth and Expansion

According to Raphael Sideris, Sales and Marketing Director of ACG for Brazil and Latin America, the expansion of the factory will allow the multinational to serve the entire Brazilian market and a significant part of capsule consumption in Latin America.

He explains that the Latin American market consumes approximately 40 billion capsules, with Brazil alone accounting for about 20 billion.

With the new capacity, ACG will be able to meet the domestic demand completely.

In addition to increasing production, the factory expansion will also enable ACG to enter the inhalation capsule market.

With its facility in Pouso Alegre, inaugurated in 2019, ACG is already a leader in supplying capsules for the domestic market and is positioning itself to take the lead in Latin America.

Local and Regional Impact of ACG

The expansion of the factory of ACG in Pouso Alegre not only strengthens the presence of the pharmaceutical multinational in Brazil but also generates a positive impact on the local economy.

With the creation of 80 new job openings, ACG contributes to reducing unemployment in the region and offers opportunities for professional development for local residents.

Additionally, ACG invests in partnerships with local suppliers, stimulating trade and industry in the area, thus benefiting the community around the factory.

ACG stands out in the pharmaceutical sector not only for its size but also for its commitment to innovation.

With the investment of R$ 100 million, the pharmaceutical multinational is focused on developing new products that meet the capsule market’s needs.

The company is investing in research and development to create capsules with advanced formulations and innovative technologies.

This commitment to innovation not only improves product quality but also positions ACG as a reference in the pharmaceutical sector, ready to meet the growing demand from consumers.
