If you are in Pernambuco or the surrounding area and want to seize a golden opportunity to qualify, the IF (Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pernambuco) is open for applications for over 5,000 vacancies in free technical and undergraduate courses.

Opportunities are distributed across 16 on-site campuses and 11 distance learning poles, covering a variety of areas and formats.

The vacancies include undergraduate courses, technical education integrated with high school, subsequent courses, and Proeja professional qualification. Candidates can apply until December 19, with classes scheduled to begin in early 2025.

Available Courses IF

The IF is offering 114 courses covering various fields of knowledge. Check the distribution of 5,116 available vacancies:

Undergraduate: 1,295 vacancies
Technical Courses Integrated with High School: 1,865 vacancies
Subsequent Technical Courses: 1,921 vacancies
Proeja Professional Qualification (Youth and Adults): 35 vacancies

These programs are spread across campuses in cities like Recife, Caruaru, Garanhuns, Olinda, Cabo de Santo Agostinho, and many others.

In this way, distance learning poles offer more 340 vacancies, with units in locations like Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, Surubim, and Santana do Ipanema (AL).

Among the most sought-after courses are:

Technical in Computer Science
Mechanical Engineering
Administration
Music Teaching
Technical in Agroecology

The IF offers specific quotas, reserving 60% of the vacancies for public school students and 25% for those coming from rural schools.

Selection Process

The selection process varies according to the type of course:

Technical Courses Integrated with High School: Selection will be based on the analysis of school history (Barreiros, Belo Jardim, and Vitória de Santo Antão) or a test (other campuses).
Proeja Courses: Evaluation of school history in Portuguese Language and Mathematics.
Subsequent Technical Courses: Candidates can choose between school history or Enem scores (2019 to 2023).
Undergraduate: Test with 50 objective questions and an essay.

Those opting for the Music Teaching courses (Belo Jardim Campus) or Technical in Musical Instruments (Barreiros Campus) will also undergo a practical in-person assessment, scheduled for January 19, 2025.

Applications and Fees

Applications should be made online, until December 19, through the official website of the IFPE. The fees vary according to the chosen course:

Integrated Technical Courses: R$ 30
Undergraduate: R$ 55
Analysis of school history or Enem score: R$ 10

There is also an exemption from the application fee for candidates registered in CadÚnico, Proeja, ProIFPE Acesso, Programa Mulheres Mil, indigenous peoples, quilombolas, and people over 50 years old. The deadline to request the exemption is until December 9.
