Unilin invests 11 million euros in a new laminate flooring factory in Paraná, with operations expected to begin in 2026.

Unilin, the world leader in the manufacture of laminate flooring, will make a major investment in Paraná, with the construction of a new factory in the municipality of Piên. The plant will be responsible for the production of laminate flooring, with an investment of 11 million euros, around 70 million reais.

Unilin's factory in Paraná is an important part of the company's strategy to expand its operations and meet the growing demand for laminate flooring in the Latin American market.

Construction work has already begun and the new flooring factory is expected to start operating in January 2026, providing a significant increase in the company's production capacity.

Unilin's expansion strategy in the Latin American market and its relationship with the new factory

Unilin's investment in Paraná reinforces the importance of the state as a strategic point for the company.

Unilin chose Paraná due to its advanced infrastructure and the qualifications of the local workforce, which are fundamental to the success of the laminate flooring factory.

According to Ruben Desmet, global president of Unilin's Flooring Department, Paraná plays a crucial role in the company's growth in Latin America.

Investing in a new factory flooring in Paraná is part of a larger plan to increase production and ensure the quality of its laminate flooring in the Latin American market.

The factory will become a distribution center to supply other markets in the region.

Impacts of the new flooring factory in Piên on the local economy

The installation of Unilin's new laminate flooring factory in Piên promises to transform the local economy.

The municipality of Piên, with just over 13 thousand inhabitants, will be directly impacted by the arrival of the Unilin factory.

Previously dependent on agriculture, with an emphasis on corn and tobacco, Piên will see a significant change in its economic profile with Unilin's investment.

The laminate flooring factory will create empregos direct and indirect, in addition to strengthening the local industry, bringing direct benefits to the community.

Increased flooring production is also expected to generate new business opportunities and attract other investments to the region.

Unilin's history in Brazil

Unilin began its operations in Brazil in 2012, initially through a partnership with Chilean company Arauco.

In 2020, Unilin took full control of the operation in the country and, now, with the new laminate flooring factory in Paraná, the company is preparing for a new chapter.

O investment Unilin's presence in its new flooring factory is proof of its commitment to growth and innovation in Brazil and Latin America.

Carlo Rego, Unilin's general manager for Brazil, highlighted that the factory in Paraná represents an important milestone for the company and for the production of laminate flooring in Brazil.

With this factory, Unilin plans to further increase its presence in the country and improve access to its products for customers and consumers.
