Before its official presentation, the Honda ZR-V is already causing a stir in the automotive press. This promising model is ready to take on successful midsize SUVs, such as the Jeep Compass and the Toyota Corolla Cross, occupying the space between the HR-V and the hybrid CR-V, which is expected to be launched in 2024, with an estimated price above R$ 300,000.

Leak of Information About the New Honda Model

The first information about the Honda ZR-V appeared on the internet, generating expectations. Journalist João Anacleto was quick to spot the vehicle in transit, sharing images on Instagram. One of the photos reveals a certification label from the Brazilian Vehicle Labeling Program (PBEV), providing crucial data on consumption and efficiency.

Ecological Performance

The Honda ZR-V has achieved a remarkable rating by obtaining an A in emissions, highlighting its environmental footprint with a low emission of 122g/km of CO2 into the atmosphere. On the other hand, the model received a C rating in overall consumption and within its category. Inmetro data points to an average of 10.2 km/l in the city and 12.1 km/l on the highway, noting that the vehicle runs exclusively on gasoline.

Under the Hood

Under the hood, the Honda ZR-V shares an engine with its Mexican counterpart, from where it is imported. It has a 2.0 aspirated gasoline engine, capable of delivering 157 hp of power and a respectable torque of 18.8 kgfm. The transmission is a CVT type, with the ability to simulate up to 7 gears. Although its numbers are not extraordinary, especially when compared to the HR-V Touring 1.5 turbo (R$ 195,800), the ZR-V promises to offer a balanced experience.

Price Expectations for the Honda ZR-V

The expectation regarding the price of the ZR-V is being closely monitored. Although it has a price range similar to that of the combustion Civic in Mexico, the Brazilian Touring Hybrid version of the sedan is sold for R$ 259,900. However, due to the tax-free import agreement with the United States, the ZR-V may arrive in Brazil at a more competitive price, possibly ranging between R$ 200,000 and R$ 250,000. This advantage comes from the fact that the Civic is imported from Thailand, subject to higher taxes.

The Honda ZR-V is a competitor to be watched in the midsize SUV segment, combining environmental efficiency and solid performance. With its potentially attractive price, it could secure a prominent place in the garages of SUV enthusiasts.
