The Citroën C3 XTR 2026 was presented as an adventurous version with an aggressive cost-benefit proposal. For R$ 88,890, the model delivers digital air conditioning, 10-inch multimedia, rearview camera, and above-average interior space, items usually seen in cars costing R$ 150 thousand.

However, according to analysis by expert Stanley Ravagnani, Stellantis made a strategic mistake: it only kept 2 airbags, leaving safety as the Achilles’ heel of the project. This detail may compromise the appeal of a car that seeks to attract customers from Polo, Onix, Argo, and 208.

How Much the Car Delivers for the Price

In practice, the Citroën C3 XTR 2026 surprises with its package.

10-inch multimedia with wireless mirroring, automatic digital air conditioning, power steering, rearview camera, electric windows and mirrors, plus a 315-liter trunk.

The fuel consumption is also an attraction: 13.2 km/l in the city and 14.2 km/l on the highway with gasoline, competitive numbers for the category.

The engine is a 1.0 Firefly with 71 hp (gasoline) and 75 hp (ethanol), coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission, a set already used in other Stellantis models.

Why Did Safety Become the Weak Point

Despite the good price and package, Stellantis only kept the 2 mandatory front airbags.

The absence of side airbags was considered “unacceptable” by Stanley Ravagnani, as direct rivals offer at least 4 protective bags in their intermediate versions.

This choice may weigh on the purchasing decision of families and fleet operators, who tend to analyze cost-benefit broadly.

The Brazilian consumer is increasingly attentive to safety features, and this gap may limit the model’s appeal.

Where the C3 XTR Excels

Visually, the Citroën C3 XTR 2026 bets on a robust style: matte appliqués, roof rack, green details, darkened logo, LED DRL, and Pirelli Scorpion ATR 205/60 R15 all-terrain tires.

The approach angle is good, but the car does not come with a factory oil pan protector.

Inside, there is above-average rear space, improved upholstery in the 2026 line, and enhanced connectivity with USB-C ports for passengers.

These solutions increase the perceived value and bring the car closer to more expensive competitors.

The Citroën C3 XTR 2026 delivers equipment that surprises for the price, especially for those seeking comfort, technology, and interior space.

With less than R$ 90 thousand, it is difficult to find rivals with digital air conditioning, 10” multimedia, and a 315-liter trunk.

On the other hand, the limited safety with only 2 airbags casts doubt on Stellantis’s choice.

O motor está longe de ser com o melhor desempenho/consumo:
“O motor é o 1.0 Firefly de 71 cv (gasolina) e 75 cv (etanol)”.

“O consumo também é um atrativo: 13,2 km/l na cidade e 14,2 km/l na estrada com gasolina, números competitivos para a categoria”.

Para um veículo com + de 1 tonelada, no mínimo um motor com 85/90 cv.

E no **** de segurança tb deixou a desejar!!! Tudo minha opinião!!!

Para mim os Air-bags não são o problema, o que acho que deveria mudar seria o motor, um turbo seria muito melhor nesta configuração.

Antigamente se andava de kombi e fusca e ninguém se preocupava com air bag, com o passar do tempo, alguns pontos foram analisados e aí necessário esses equipamentos hoje em dia, mas garanto, que se todos fossem educados e responsáveis no trânsito, isso seria o de menos né. Ou no mínimo, respeitar as leis de trânsito, acho no geral, que o carro entrega muito sim. Preço super acessível. Afinal, se apegar nos problemas é até ridículo, visto que cada marca tem seu calcanhar de aquiles, nunca serao 100%
