The Brazil Windpower 2022 brought, in its 13th edition, major names in the wind energy sector. At the largest event in the sector, the CEO of Nordex Brazil, Felipe Ferreira, explained that Nordex has a strong presence in Brazil, where it has been operating since 2013, mainly in the Northeast region. The company has generated many jobs in the Northeast and has wind turbines with unprecedented power.
This 13th edition of the event is held for the first time in a hybrid format, featuring the traditional in-person event along with the modern conveniences of a digital platform. Through its activities in this segment, the company provides many jobs, especially in the Northeast region, due to the need for people for maintenance and production. In the last 3 years, the company has tripled in size and is opening new job opportunities.
At the Bahia factory in Simões Filho, the company had about 60 employees, and now employs over 200. The tower plants generate around 400 to 500 jobs per plant, including direct and indirect positions. Additionally, Felipe highlights the importance of these new projects in areas with few job opportunities. In other words, the company also fulfills a crucial social role.
The Innovative N163/5.X Wind Turbine Has a Capacity Between 4.7 and 4.9 MW, Providing Flexibility for Wind Farms
Felipe also stated during the event that the company is working with a wind turbine that has a rated capacity between 4.7 and 4.9 MW, depending on environmental and geographical conditions. The name of the wind turbine is N163/5.X. In this regard, it is possible to modulate the production capacity according to the situation of the plant, bringing greater flexibility.
Furthermore, the company is involved in producing high-quality wind energy towers, as well as in maintenance.

Only in Brazil, the company has over 1,000 wind turbines, especially in the Northeast region. Additionally, the company has contracts ranging from 5 to 10 years for the maintenance of these equipment.
This multinational is headquartered in Germany and operates in various countries, including Brazil. In the last 3 years, the company has tripled its production capacity both at tower and blade factories. Investments have been constant and are expected to continue.
