Unilin Invests 11 Million Euros in New Laminated Floor Factory in Paraná, Forecast to Start Operations in 2026.

Unilin, a world leader in laminated floor manufacturing, will make a major investment in Paraná, with the construction of a new factory in the municipality of Piên. The plant will be responsible for the production of laminated floors, with an investment of 11 million euros, about 70 million reais.

The Unilin factory in Paraná is an important part of the company’s strategy to expand its operations and meet the growing demand for laminated floors in the Latin American market.

Construction has already begun, and the forecast is that the new floor factory will start operating in January 2026, providing a significant increase in the company’s production capacity.

Unilin’s Expansion Strategy in the Latin American Market and Its Relationship with the New Factory

Unilin’s investment in Paraná reinforces the importance of the state as a strategic point for the company.

Unilin chose Paraná for its advanced infrastructure and the qualification of the local workforce, which are critical for the success of the laminated floor factory.

According to Ruben Desmet, Global President of the Unilin Flooring Department, Paraná plays a crucial role in the company’s growth in Latin America.

The investment in a new floor factory in Paraná is part of a larger plan to increase production and ensure the quality of its laminated floors in the Latin American market.

The factory will become a distribution center to supply other markets in the region.

Impacts of the New Floor Factory in Piên on the Local Economy

The establishment of Unilin’s new laminated floor factory in Piên promises to transform the local economy.

The municipality of Piên, with a little over 13,000 inhabitants, will be directly impacted by the arrival of Unilin’s factory.

Previously reliant on agriculture, particularly corn and tobacco, Piên will see a significant change in its economic profile with Unilin’s investment.

The laminated floor factory will create direct and indirect jobs, in addition to strengthening the local industry, bringing direct benefits to the community.

It is also expected that the increase in floor production will generate new business opportunities and attract other investments to the region.

Unilin’s History in Brazil

Unilin began its operations in Brazil in 2012, initially through a partnership with the Chilean company Arauco.

In 2020, Unilin took full control of the operation in the country and is now preparing for a new chapter with the new laminated floor factory in Paraná.

The investment in its new floor factory is evidence of its commitment to growth and innovation in Brazil and Latin America.

Carlo Rego, General Manager for Brazil at Unilin, highlighted that the factory in Paraná represents an important milestone for the company and for laminated floor production in Brazil.

With this factory, Unilin plans to further increase its presence in the country and improve access to its products for customers and consumers.
